Borussia M'gladbach posted a record win of 12.75 mio Euros after taxes (21.32 mio Euros before taxes) in the business year 2014. Their turnover was 130 mio Euros in 2014, quite an increase after 2013 when their turnover was 91 mio Euros.

As of April 2015, BMG have 66700 members (an increase of almost 6000 members compared to the previous year), thus they are the 6th largest football club in Germany (behind Bayern, Schalke, BVB, HSV and Köln).

Currently the Borussia plan an extension of their Borussia Park with a hotel (132 rooms) that will also contain a fanshop and a Borussia museum. Additionally they want to set a sports medicine center and a sports rehabilitation center in the projected building which will be opened at the earlierst in the end of 2017.

Max Kruse (who will go to Wolfsburg next season) and Christoph Kramer (wo will return to Bayer Leverkusen next season from his loan) showed that they are 100% pros and helped Gladbach to reach the second place behind Bayern at the moment, overtaking Wolfsburg and distancing Leverkusen by 5 points now.

By the way, believe it or not - this was Gladbachs first home-wine against Bayer after 26 (!) years!

Gladbach's last participation in the CL was 37 years ago when it was still the "European Champions Cup".

Is the Telekom Cup an invitational tournament? I don't see any relation among the participating teams (BL winner, BL2 winner, cup winner etc.). Also, do all teams take part from the 1st round of German Cup??

The Telekom-Cup is an invitation-only pre-season mini tournament that involves 4 teams each time.

Yann Sommer was voted "Borusse der Saison 2014/15" (Borussia's M'gladbach's top player of the season). That means he succeeds Marc-André ter Stegen who was voted "Borusse der Saison 2013/14". Goalie power in Gladbach! Chaka

He seems to be just a player of the brand that Lucien Favre likes as he can play a variety of positions in defense. He should get some time in the team as Martin Stranzl isn't the youngest anymore and was injured for a while last season, and with Gladbach playing in three competitions, Favre will rotate his squad a lot just like he did last season.

Why have you posted last season's (2014-15) team on the eve of a new season (2015-16)??? It's same in the Basel, Schalke and Dortmund threads too.

I posted the new season in the beginning of the thread (second post for the squad, third post for the schedule) as one can more easily access it there without having to browse through the whole thread.

I just thought it might be still interesting to keep the info about the former season, so I just copied that and posted it in a fresh post, which is appended to the thread as one can't set a specific post date or insert a post somewhere in a specific place in a thread.

So, I put the old stuff in spoilers, so that it is not as prominent anymore, but the data can still be accessed for those that are interested in it.

Gladbach sport director Max Eberl is proud that Gladbach is selling players (Amin Younes, that is) to a club like Ajax Amsterdam nowadays. He considers this a good sign for the quality of the education and training of young players at the club.

Test match Swansea vs Borussia M'gladbach

Swansea: Lukasz Fabianski, Kyle Naughton, Kyle Bartley, Ashley Williams (capt), Franck Tabanou, Jay Fulton, Ki Sung-Yueng, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Nathan Dyer, Andre Ayew, Bafe Gomis.

Borussia (1. Half): Sippel – Jantschke, Brouwers, Elvedi, Nkansah – Stindl, Schulz – Traoré, Ritter – Raffael, Hahn
Borussia (2. Half): Sippel – Korb, Christensen, Elvedi, Nkansah – Dahoud, Sow – Traoré (69. Ndenge), Ritter – Hrgota, Drmic

Goals:
14.) 1:0 - Ibrahima Traoré
68.) 1:1 - Grimes

FT - Swansea 1:1 Borussia M'gladbach

In the second half, Borussia played with a veritable kindergarden - their team was younger than their normal U23 team (after Ndenge came on, the average age of the Gladbach players on the pitch was 20.45 years) Laughing
