Brilliant decision by Blanc, Everyone respects him and He will be the captain for years to come. Wouldn't have minded Abidal but he asked Blanc to not consider him.

Wow. This may be one of the best decisions the French National Team has made in years. Abidal would've been a quality choice, but not for the long term. Lloris is respected, young (25) and an automatic selection when fit. Well done by Blanc. Thumbs up

Too be fair, it was going to be Mexes had he not elbowed that Juventus player. Blanc reacted to that, specially after seeing the suspension, and italy not calling Balo. Mexes himself thought he was going to be captain Razz

Anyway, GK captains are a bit meh, they can work though. I think LOLris is a good choice.

Benz would not have been a good choice.

He dosen't have a proper sense of weight on his shoulders yet to take that step.

Really like this decision, the man really enjoys making himself known amongst his peers.

Not to long ago Lyon suffered an embarrassing draw in the league, and he took matters into his own hands and gave the whole squad a proper talking in the lockeroom.

Well his work ethic certainly isn't a problem.Personal scandals? his was a stroke of bad luck more than anything disastrous.

Either way, as of now, I don't think the weight of the worlds on his shoulders would help his game.He can be a talisman, but it would have to be on the field, and it would have to be with his play, an emblematic role such as captain just isn't becoming of him.
