Exactly. You just proved what every Arsenal fan has been saying. He values this place a lot and would not force a transfer nor would he cause problems in order to transfer. I never said he didn't have values, just that he never ended the rumor by saying to barca "NO, period."
Two years of this crap now, but I know will just refer back to what him and AW said. Whatever. What some of u guys don't get is that LOTs of barca fans realize, we flat out don't need him to come. So it wouldn't be worth it for us to splash so much, which he is worth. Hopefully sandro did this to try to end the saga, at least for this year, knowing that if we don't get him, f*** it, its our most crowded position. Let's just let this post die pls. haha no chance really, it's been a while that EC was reporting about the set price of 40M. Since cesc has the same agent as Adebayor, we asked him about the price as well, and he said it was set at 40M. that's why Rosell is saying they dont wanna spend 40M, that's why they started negotiating at 30M.

Barcelona are obsessed with Cesc and 5 million is nothing to them if that was the case they would have bought him last year.Wenger wants Barcelona to understand this, Cesc is not for sale.

Yes Agreed, but teams like this inflate the market, that is why so many players price is going up. If it was not for certain teams Cesc price would have been around 30 mill, but the price has gone up. Man city would pay 60 mill for Cesc any day.

The thing that has change from Arsenal being a selling team, to keeping players is that, now Arsenal has the money.

Thats exactly the problem for Arsenal why they wont get a huge price for Cesc like we got for Torres.Everyone know even if City bid 60 Cesc will only go for Barca.So Arsenal cant start a bidding war.Chelsea didnt had that assurance.They know City could come for a bidding war in summer window.

The only thing that gives Arsenal the edge is Cesc hasnt publicly demanded a move.Noone knows what is happening behind the doors.There were reports few days back in Times that Wenger and cesc had a gentleman agreement last year when Barca publicly pursued Cesc that Cesc will stay that year and wont demand a move.And in return wenger will negotiate with Barca this year (unlike last year) and Cesc expects wenger to honor it.Otherwise he would go publicly in his demand for a move.

So it could easily be that they are negotiating with Barca on a price.If Arsenal simply dont want to sell Cesc this year and Cesc wont force a move they would simply release a hands off statement like Levy did for Modric.
