Strong and calm leadership, never panics.

Usually brings in the right players, either via transfers or youth system.

Gets the best out of his players, I dunno whether that's a confidence thing or training or both, but almost every United player comes good sooner or later.

I think one of the main things about Fergie is no player is bigger than him. Start to get ideas you are and he will get rid of you.

Something I think chelsea could learn from and stop interfernce from the likes of Terry.

i think player management is his best quality by some margin, he is truly able to get the best out of his players. better than any manager- only one who comes close is mourinho.

so for me its

1. player management/motivation
2. tactics
3. youth development
