But it really makes me wonder if he would work 100% in a team without smart players where he would be able to make 1-2s and have a more pure defensive role.

We are witnessing now only a great DM, but also one of the greatest single players of all time. Busquets is an innovator who is giving as much to football as Makalele did. Goes to show footballing intelligence and technique out weighs being a brute. Busquets is a very good footballer but I am not obligated to like him or respect him mainly because he is a cheat.

Lucas is better than Busquets in my honest opinion. Lucas makes Liverpool look decent, while Bisquit wouldn't even change how shite we are (that's just one example). If you put Bisquit in any other team, he might not do as well, simply because his style fits Barca to perfection. Do I think he's overrated? Frak yeah I do, he's a class player but not the best at his position. Put Lucas in this Barca team and you wouldn't remember who Bisquit was.

Anyways my point was that it's easy to take a hard stance against divers while ignoring that every team has or had pretty bad divers in its history, and even in their most successful periods. Diving is bad, but it's not as bad for football as awful officiating, violent tackles, and matchfixing/corruption.
