Why in hell would you sack Mou? Madrid got past Lyon last season, that's more than his predecessors accomplished in a while.

Just because Real will get spanked by Bayern (^^^^^^ sorry) that doesn't mean he'll get sacked.
Especially because having Mou makes it even easier for Real to sign great players.

If he throws away a 10 point lead and doesn't win the CL. I would be tempted to sack him if it were my decision. The only problem is who to get to replace him. On paper Mourinho is the best manager Madrid could have.

Mourinho wants to become the first coach to win a league title in all three important leagues (sorry Bundesfans, Mourinho doesn't consider it important to win that league), and the first coach to win 3 CL titles with 3 different teams. What better place to do that than Madrid? He's already burned all bridges with Barcelona so that's his only choice.

So I don't see him leaving. Even if he chokes this league, all he has to do is wait up for Pep to not renew. If Pep wins the league and the CL this season I can't see him renewing. If Pep loses either competition then I can't see him not renewing - he wouldn't leave the team in a 'bad' moment.

Florentino is already too deep in Mou's game to fire him.
