Isn't it results that matter in the end and Tottenham finished 4th, a place that brought Arsenal CL football this season. So I do think it's harsh on them.

Tottenham knew for weeks that nabbing 4th might not guarantee CL football next year and even had a chance of clinching 3rd in the last few weeks of the campaign.

And they bottled it.

But i thought we only finished 5th because the rest of the teams are crap?

And no Art it isnt harsh on them they knew the rules now they must deal with it.

I'd say the same if we finished 4th.

Everyone know the rules, yeah, but since the beginning of the season the talk was - as it always has been- about finishing in top-4 to make it to CL next season. Only very late in the season the rare possibility arose that a top-4 place might not get you into CL. Under such circumstances I will call it harsh on the 4th placed club to not make it into next season's CL tournament.

Very funny how an EPL moaner thinks they deserve 5 places for CL while Italy only has 3. Both Manchester's got eliminated and burned out in both European competitions. Chelsea played horribly domestically and now you want a 5th CL spot? Honestly your insane. And BTW italy deserves 4 spots considering we have enough teams to compete for it. Juve, Milan, Inter, Udinese and Lazio all are very strong teams. Except for Inter scratch tht part
