If anybody, anywhere thinks this CL final proved anything about the premier league then I have nothing more to say to them.

That being said, I am happy for chelsea and it was good to see them finally win the trophy. Congratulations to them.

Our SIXTH place team (in the process of rebuilding) just won the European Cup. Jesus Christ....

I'm sorry but the Premier League has the most top squads of any league in the world.

la liga's 10th placed team eliminated the second best side in the premier league

there isnt direct correlation between cup win and league quality

Your league leader went out in the group stages (LOL) and then lost to Sporting...

Second place in EPL couldn't make it out of the easiest group and then lost against La Liga 10th place team Athletic Bilbao in both games LOL

Yes your sixth place team won the CL but your top 2 teams crashed out in the group stages. One of which were knocked out with a joint effort by Germany's second best team and Italy's 5th placed team.

The top 2 teams in England then went on to lose in the EL to portugals 4th (I think) placed team and spains mid-table Bilbao who dominated them over the two legs. Also, the team that put out Man united in the CL was defeated 7-0 by Bayern.

The 4th team in England was put out in the Europa groups by relatively unknown teams.

Using league position and comparing it to European success proves nothing.

United , on the other hand , got seriously out played.

but being the better side counts for nothing because Chelsea winning the CL despite being outclassed on several occasions proved the PL dominance.

But if City outclassed sporting CP but lost then by your logic that means it meant nothing and sporting deserved it?

To be fair the amount of worldclass talent is extremely low compared to the laliga.The league is still the most exciting to watch.but asking for a fifth championsleague spot s just trolling imo.
