I would say close to 150 in four seasons. But definitely somewhere between 100-150.

The guy scored 50 goals in one of the worst Barca teams ever at 19.
Yeah, and it was his best scoring season.

Because after that he went at Inter, in the hardest league in the world at that time.
And then he went to Galacticos, where he scored 30 goals couple times.

After 2 injuries which kept him out of the field for 2 years.
And Olivier Bierhoff outscored him in SerieA.

Yeah, Xaviesta assisted almost 10 of Messi's 73 goals. Laughing

They held possesion long enough for it.

That's why Messi is nowhere to be seen without Xavi and Iniesta. Laughing

Ronaldo has never been a star in a team, and he has never had a team playing for him, like Messi or Cristiano. PS:In Inter he wasn't even a striker.

And the parked busses are a disadvantage. Barca had on average 68% possession Guardiola era.

I'm fine. Just recovered from surgury. Took out my gallbladder. And my voice was gone for like 1 month in a half thanks to the tube they used to go my throat and into my abdominal region so they can take out all the bile.

Other than that I've been my awesome self. XD

You dont know what you're talking about, admit it. Maradona dribbled from the halfway line to the penalty area many times.

This is something to think about that gary lineker said about maradonas goal against england

"Diego Maradona was the only player I've ever seen good enough to master a parks pitch.

When we played Argentina at the 1986 World Cup, nobody else could control the ball because the Azteca Stadium pitch had been relaid into small chunks and the turf moved under your feet whenever you started running.

Yet Maradona was able to dribble from the halfway line and score. Lord knows what he would be capable of today on the modern bowling green pitches."

Lineker said that during the 09/10 season, after messi showed the world his dribbling ability. So lineker seems to think not even messi could score a goal like that on that sort of pitch.

Its also interesting what he says about modern bowling green pitches. I fully agree with that, goodness knows what maradona, or best, or garrincha ect, could do playing at the nou camp every other week on that perect pitch like messi

The fact that Messi is not even halfway through his career and is being compared with the big stars says something, though I would wait till he retires to compare completely.

Dude...Ossie Ardiles who PLAYED with Maradona came out and said Messi has eclipsed Maradona already..that he's better than him...so have many others.

And your logic about the bowling green pitch is horrible. I don't want to get into a Maradona v Messi debate though.
Also, of course Lineker is gonna praise Maradona, just like Messi's victims praise him and say he's the greatest ever.

What does that mean exactly?

today pele says neymar is better than messi, cruyff says xavi is better than messi, mourinho says c.ronaldo is better than messi, romario says he is better than messi and maradona, ect ect, bla bla bla

The truth is, sometimes people talk rubbish.

Its called opinions, and they are rather subjective

How is that logic horrible? how ignorant and bias do you have to be to think that isnt a factor? Lineker admited he could even control the ball properly on that pitch, but it makes no dfference right? whatever....

Do you know why ardiles said that? he thinks messi is fitter than past players, better nutrition ect. Thats fair enough, i agree with him, messi is fitter than maradona. Maybe messi can call himself the fittest player of all time

You gotta look at the whole picture. Sure, the pitches were worse, but so was the defensive organization of teams. Also, don't forget that defenders were less fit as well. Tactics weren't as evolved with every team having access to footage of opponents' most dangerous players. There's a LOT of factors here. What's important to look at is the fact that football is played more collectively these days and players are not supposed to be able to dribble by entire teams in the modern game, yet Messi does. He's an alien. Maradona was a superhero.

About Ardiles, I read the whole interview, and ur right he indeed did say that Messi is better because he's more fit, better nutrition etc...but that doesn't change the fact. That IS what makes you better. If you want to look at it from a relative standpoint as opposed to an absolute standpoint, then Messi is still better, because he's more consistent and scores far more goals and is more destructive to the opponent's backline.
