And apparently wants to stay at Leverkusen.....he was always going to be a talent. We paid quite a bit of money for him considering his age as he had already garnered comparisons with Marquinhos.

Staying at Leverkusen might do him some good as I don't think he's going to get time ahead of the CB we have currently.

Been talk of Darmian of late. Would be an excellent, if slightly expensive, acquisition this winter.

I don't think we'll be getting Santon so that makes this link stronger.

8m is said to the be the price that Urbano Cairo has put on for Darmian.

I think we should go for 6m personally, but Toro don't want to sell him this winter so they'll likely up his price if they absolutely have to part with him.

Danilo and Rafinha are both out of our range for this winter as they are first choice for their clubs and would cost significantly more than Darmian would. We could return for them in the summer though.

I'd put him in the ballpark of around 15m and would only consider him for a summer signing.

Cech must happen. De Sanctis has been struggling the whole season.

Cech could happen imo....just not this winter.

Personally think we need defenders more than anything so I'd focus on Chiriches first and foremost....Johnson...not so much, but he may be one of the better options out there...and that's saying something.

An offer for Cech for 9 mil in January is being reported. Personally I think the price is a little steep considering he's no2 at his current club but he would be worth every penny. If we can get him for 6-7mil that would be a steal. Also, if we maje it ouy of the group gimme Nastasic and Darmian and this team will be set to make a push in europe I reckon

I think johnson is more of a wingerback and just like dodo wont suit our game, he is technically limited as well so it wont help us either. Price shouldn't make any difference in it

Considering we paid Ajax 6m for Stek once upon a time, 9m for an infinitely better keeper in Cech is not all that bad honestly. He was once worth much more than that not too long ago.

No good news I am afraid as rumours about Johnson are getting stronger and De Sanctis signed a new deal.

Well news apparently seems to be that Johnson would likely be a replacement for Cole if he moved to MLS, which is likely. Not really good or bad news since that means we would only be swapping them.

As for De Sanctis, signing him to another year doesn't necessarily mean he will be next year's starter. The plan could still be to go after a more permanent and better option with De Sanctis as #2.

Get rid of De Sanctis right now.. plz

I'm with you flameas. MDS form has dropped significantly this year but at the same time out defensive unit as whole has gone down a few notches. I say let MDS finish out the year and then sign cech in the summer. And for gods sake Glenn Johnson is crap and I would seriously begin to question rudi and Walt's transfer strategy if we are willing to pay his outrageous wage demands
