The Xaviestqquets triplet is already broken up, because Cesc play in MF and Don is wasted on LW. With Song transfer, I fear for even more Iniesta as Left Winger

I wish Song the best and hope he will be a success, but I don't think his transfer was necessity. We have a lot of MF, Masche could play as back-up DM from time to time, JdS, Thiago etc. We buy another player for our strongest formation. It doesn't make a sense. Plus, in January when there are a lot of fixtures, Copa del Rey matches he goes to AFCON. Of course, he is an upgrade over JdS, B-team players, and it's good to have another quality player in the squad, but was his transfer necessary? He can't play CB, he should only be DM and CM sometimes.

I think Iniesta was employed as a winger as a combination of pedro's bad form and villa's absence... fingers crossed we won't need that this year

I dunno that he's a player who is 'miles better than Keita', but I do think he's a more useful player. He's younger too. Keita was never really cut out for DM, which meant he just took minutes from more talented attacking mids. Song should be able to play DM and CB to some extent as well as filling in at CM. He's a good squad player to have. Not saying he was necessary though.

No. Simple because we are stinge with our money because of our previous encounters in transfer markets. Wish we did though I feel we will be saving our money on Neyamr for next season or the season after. Song will probably be our centreback tbh.
