Who is Bendtner?

Offered a mixed reception at Arsenal since he made the breakthrough into the first team in 2008, the striker nonetheless made himself a key performer for his country.
Bendtner began his career in his homeland but joined Arsenal as a youngster in 2004. He first came to the fore with a good scoring spell on loan at Birmingham in 2006 and returned to Arsenal a year later to fight for his place in the first team. A youth international for Denmark, he made his debut for the senior side at just 18 years of age and has continued to develop into a fine striker, albeit prone to an occasional lack of judgment.

His off-pitch actions have caused controversy, as have suggestions that he is a disruptive influence in the dressing room, and at the end of a 2010-11 campaign in which he struggled for first-team opportunities it emerged he had decided to leave the Emirates.

Several moves outside the Premier League were touted, but on the final day of the window in August 2011 he made the move to Sunderland on a season-long loan deal where he was reunited with former Birmingham boss Steve Bruce.
The Dane made 28 league appearances at the Stadium of Light, scoring eight times. After the conclusion of the domestic season, Bendtner represented his nation at Euro 2012, scoring a brace against Germany.

Strengths: Tall and strong, he is able to hold opponents off the ball and has a good eye for a pass. He can make a real impact off the bench and has an aerial threat boosted by a terrific jump.

Weaknesses: His finishing has come under the microscope after some high-profile misses, while his attitude has also been questioned. Accused of arrogance.

Career high: Scoring his first Premier League goal - the winner against Tottenham in December 2007 - and picking up the record for the fastest goal ever scored by a substitute (1.8 seconds).

Career low: Fighting with Emmanuel Adebayor on the pitch against Tottenham in the Carling Cup in January 2008. Or wearing pink boots at the end of that year.

Style: Confident, powerful, pacy, a physical presence up front.

Trivia: When Bendtner decided to swap his number from 26 to 52 for the 2009-10 season, he offered to pay for all the Arsenal fans who had bought his shirt to have the number changed.

Bendtner is terrible

Hes good when he plays to his strengths, problem is he thinks hes the 6 foot messi and tries to dribble around players

He may be underrated, but I don't see him as the type of player that will automatically move ahead of Matri or Quags in or striker lineup. We need an immediate number one striker. He's just depth. Wenger is a good judge of talent and he doesn't just let a young player that came up through his youth system leave for cheap if he's good. This is a bad idea.

I agree I think hes average but that's about it. If it happens I hope this is once of the instances where he proves us wrong and scores 25 goals

I have a strange feeling that Bendtner will do well here at Juventus. He'll be a reference point for our attack, he's 6'5 and is great in the air.

Well tbh Bendtner will now be playing at a club with real heritage and a champion history...If he doesnt make it here then he will he will never become a top player! He is young and maybe Conte can sort him out! For the price the price we are paying he is worth it even if he just makes up numbers...He is a great header of the ball no doubt!
