Mata's numbers are wrong. For quite some time now there are numbers floating around in the Interwebz for Mata which for some reason include rebounds, penalties won, corner kick assists, freekicks won etc. The correct numbers for him are 15 assists in Premier League + Champions League + Europa League (OPTA). Didn't count his FA Cup assists but it's definitely not 11.

So Lewandowski is a shit finisher that has more goals then the mighty can persie? Some people like to nitpick on certain players in this forum. Plus the 13 assists and tremendous hold up play he has. A top striker deal with it!

Lol someone can score a goal a game doesn't mean he isn't a shit finisher.

Don't you see the amount of chances he misses every game?

He's not a very good finisher, he scores goals because of the amount of service he recieves.

No one said he's a bad player though, far from it he's just a bad finisher.

If he took the chances he got regularly he would have more than Ronaldo.

if Ronaldo took his chances he would have more goals than 3/4 of EPL combined. If Benz and Higgy took their chances we would be winning the League by now Rolling Eyes

Lewandowski does not score because he is not someone you can rely on.

While that is true Hala it could be argued none of them are good finishers either tbh.... Higuain aside and he does have the tendency to choke in big games.

No one said Lewandowski is a bad player, in fact he's very very good.... his vision, link up, technique and hold up play is rivalled by very few strikers...

Problem is his finishing isn't.

Also his stats are slightly wrong on here, he has 7 assists not 13.

the Lewa I saw against us posessed none of those qualities but thats judging someone based on two games. I have to admit I don't usually watch Dortmund but the games I have watched him he has looked rather ordinary (vs Leverkusenx2 and Madridx2).

Your source is bad. i think you use transfermarket.de and they inflate everything. You should go by the clubs' official websites, Opta sports or soccernet (who use stats.llc i think).

for example, higuain has 13 goals and 7 assists.... benz 16 goals and 12 assists. This is all official competitions.

No they don't inflate anything. It's a source just like the ones you sited. Unlike those, transfermarkt uses FIFA90 assist rules, which portray better players direct involvement goals on average.

Exactly. Mata is not on 28 assists, nowhere near. Transfermarkt counts an own goal after a Mata corner kick as an assist, fss.
