Patrice Evra: The Untouchable

SAF has started every game since forever.
3 France NT managers have made him their starter.
I need help from you guys.... can some of you enlighten me as to WHY???? He's been shat since 2009. He has periods where he's ok. But he always gets raped once or twice a game. It's unbelievable.
Add to that... he has a bad attitude.
Domenech is a mroron; so i won't even discuss him. But SAF, Blanc and Deschamps are considered good to great managers. What gives?!?!

Clichy and Mathieu are easily better. You also have Chris Mavinga of Rennes that should get a shot soon... There are options in France.

Tbf to SAF he has pretty much no other choice lol.
Blanc and Deschamps are both cowards as far as football tactics go so it doesn't surprise they stick with what they know.

Abidal's esaily benched tough.
I'd say that he's the most consistent between his rivals
the manager knows that the guy will pull out a 5.5/10 performance. Players like Clichy , Rafael/Fabio could pull out 7 or 8/10 but in the important game 4-5/10. And as you said he has experience but he is also a hot-head. you don't feel good when you bench evra ahahah

can you name 5 world class left backs ? thats what i thought, he starting because the standards are really low for that position

He's been shite for ages now & he's not even elite at attacking these days.
There's a reason United were after Baines in the summer and even he's mediocre.

Listen and this is said by a huge Man United fan.I don't know why Evra is still playing in the first 11 but since 2010 he is not the same.Before 2010, he was the best LB in the world...(especially in 2008).After 2010, something happened and he is mediocre. 
The talent remains of course.But maybe he isn't enough concentrated.
BTW, Clichy better than EVRA?
I believe Alaba is an amazing LBM.

There is more quality at RB than at LB for me, most of the people on your list are either meh, passed it or hyped up fm prodigies who have proven nothing.
Anyway it's no excuse at either France or Man Utd.
France have plenty of choices and as for Utd they could have easily got someone better than Evra from the PL alone.
Players like Neil Taylor from Swansea and Leighton Baines are far better than Evra is at this stage.

I find Glen Johnson completely shit and I think Kelly is miles better than him.

I think Gil's list is better than MT's list to be honest and I think there are better leftbacks than right, which I find odd overall.
On Evra, of course he is crap but he is Evra. He will play untill the wheels completely fall off because he name alone grants him a stay in that position.

He sucked tonight as expected. Reveillere was actually worse lol. Thank god the CBs + mids were very good or they could have cost us a couple of goals easily.
Evra just always wind up getting too aggressive on attack and now he's too old to recover. Leaves his side exposed. Reveillere is just past it.
Need Sagna and Debuchy back ASAP lol. Abidal would be nice too.

That's very well said.It happens at Man United every game.Many goals came because of his mistakes.He is doing very bad at marking his man.
