Re: Messi in decline
2? Messi has been underperforming for a month, at least. He needs a real coach.

Re: Messi in decline
Messi is so satisfied with the four Balon D'or he doesn't care anymore. he's just breaking scoring records so he can rub it off on Pele faces when he retires.

It has nothing to do with how many games he has played.Messiah "Aggerswagger" wrote:danyjr wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:

Re: Messi in decline
He's not in decline.... he just needs two forwards either side of him to perform to optimal levels.
Look at his best games for Argentina in last 18 months.... Higuain and Aguero
His best general performances ( ignoring goals).... Villa and Pedro or Henry and Eto'o...
Its just the type of player he is and what makes him so dangerous.
Having Cesc behind him and Pedro and Iniesta not making runs to stretch the defenses limits his space and makes him easy to deal with in that fake 9 position.
Barca need to go back to basics.... BusiXaviesta and 2 forwards either side of him.

Re: Messi in decline
What explains the fact that he has looked slower than Alonso in the past couple of matches? I think he's lost explosiveness. Could be because he's played a lot lately or could be that HGH is running low in Camp Mou.

Can you shut up please. Your clueless. Fab has showed countlessly that when he is in the side alongside with Iniesta on the wing, that Barca have struggled to win games because Barca don't stretch the defense due to the lack of inside runs from Pedro and Iniesta. Cesc doesn't help. He creates problems. Messi doesn't have the space he needs because of Cesc. Roura still can't figure this out and its costing us...
