Meh, no one asks him to play defender or GK. He has got Di Maria, Higgy and Lavezzi/ Tevez/ Aguero to make things happen in attack. Not too shabby if you ask me

Is this even happened? If no, how it could affect Messi? It didnt happen while messi playing. only 2-3 fat CR fanboys chanted in bus stop and this is all. In stadium you need at least 2000-3000 fans to chant, in bus stop you need 2-3 person. So dont mistake messi with ronaldo dear CR fanboys

I would only chant Ronaldo at a Real Madrid game. Chanting the name of other team's players is stupid and makes your team look bad.

I watched the match but did not hear any ronaldo chants at any point.
Messi was average and thats credit to Peru's marking. Argentina got the point and still top the group anyway.

I personally, am glad messi survived yesterday without injury bcz the instructions were clear on the Peru players, tackle hard and dont give any breathing space. Messi did well not to get frustrated and try and force things on such a horrible pitch!!!


On fans chanting in Spain, I say forget it. In argentina messi plays with a non-existent midfeld, in barca Messi is on the ball so many times such that fans will be so exhausted from chanting ronaldo's name than their own team.

So I say bring it on, it'll be so funny watching their disappointed sad faces whe messi scores.

Oh btw, messi said in an interview after the game that it was more of a physical fight than football, but was glad they got a point.

well he can't really because Ronaldo has been in a Euro final and semi-final respectively, he might not have won but thats pretty big of an achievement without a proper striker for the last 3 or so years

Apart from Olympics, Argentina haven't really gotten anywhere in official tournaments... so to speak

Ummm, Argentina have also been in a Copa America final and semifinal. Is that not an official tournament? Or do you want them to somehow find a way to contest at the EUROs?
