Does anyone else want this Theo situation to go away?
I like Theo. I can't see him suddenly developing into the player we always hoped he would become, but he is still a decent enough player. But the longer this contract issue looms, the more cancerous I can see it becoming to the team. Would you agree? Does anyone else see this as a potentially big problem?

I dont see this as a big problem atm..
Walcott was never important or influential as RVP or Song.. And considering that we have adequate options we can take some time.. The club had made its stance clear.. Now it is upto Walcott to take a wise decision for his future.. He has time till the January.. If he decides not to pen a new deal we can sell him for a small amount or keep him for the season depending on the situation then...

Should've sold him to balance books instead of van Persie.

How much would it take to get him?

Walcott only wants to play in his favorite position.
Hes being honest and not greedy, nor he disagrees with the direction of the club.
If I was Wenger, Id try him upfront since there are many options on the wing already and short on the attack.

The best solution -------------ISCO-------------
there was a rumour that the coach was interested. He should reignite this interest if its true.
End of problem

Don't think Wenger trusts Theo enough for the CF position.
Especially considering the main strikers role in our 4-2-3-1 formation.
I'll reserve my judgement till Giroud gets constant starts and still doesn't perform at the level required of a player of his caliber.
Then we can move on to project Walcott.

For Giroud to start scoring he needs a player that crosses the ball and the only player we have that is willing to cross the ball is Walcott.
Gevinho will not cross the ball if there are players left to dribble.

Re: Does anyone else want this Theo situation to go away?
True Raptor.. but for all the willingness, Walcott crosses just aren't good enough.
His low crosses, as shown by his last season statistics have improved, but to use Giroud's strengths to their fullest, we would need a guy who's crosses are far more accurate and consistent ala Baines.

Walcott is not important for Arsenal anyway. All he got is speed and his technique and vision is beyond poor.
I can't agree more with the poster who said Walcott should have been sold instead of RVP to balance the books
