Anyway, what an episode! A bit fast at times, skipping some things/rushing things. It would have been dope if they built up the fight, matter of fact the mid-season finale, TWD-style. It would felt more tense and anticipated. But it is what it is, and I must say the scene for the fight was GOAT. Jesus christ, don't these tv shows just pick the setting for their trial by combats well

The episode was so disjointed. They have a bad habit of showing 300 things every 2 seconds. When Oliver mentioned to Thea that he knew about her and Merlyn. Her reaction was like he just mentioned "Oh the milk has gone stale" That was awfuly done.

Was it ever fully explained why Ra's wanted Malcolm dead? could be that he used the lazarus pit without Ra's's knowledge.

I think it's going to be Malcolm Merlyn. Oliver was very confident going in to the battle. He knew he was going to die and I think him and Merlyn planned it out beforehand.

Better Ra's than Neeson imho. Neeson still a better villain (so far). Just didn't feel like a Ra's al ghul character at all.

Yea agreed completely. Ra's is as ruthless as the one on Arrow. Not as friendly as the one on Batman Begins lol. Although Ra's loves Batman so different chemistry.

Disagree. Liam Neeson was better. He and Batman's relationship had a total different dynamic. He saw Bruce as a son and wanted him to take over the League which is why he was so "friendly". We saw how friendly he was at the end when he was about to destroy Gotham lol.

Agree with M99...still like Neeson's Ra's better though I liked Matt Nable quite a bit in Riddick. He's a good pick.

Not sure what to make of this episode in all honesty. As RG said...very disjointed.

They always do this. There are about 5 different arcs going and time is limited but they try to squash everything together. The Dinah and Lance family cringe time was not needed. But they had to do it to build up Laurel. There will be a Thea Vs Laurel fight 1000000% in the future.

The Oliver climbing scene should have felt far more epic than it did. It still was good. But it should have been the focal point.

Flash's mid season finale felt so smooth on the other hand because there is just one main story and 2 side stories which they combined in the main story(firestorm and Iris).

Also it's probably only me but not feeling Felicity these days. She is always over-emotional for every single thing.

Maybe it was hard for them to direct the fight but wish it was a bit longer. Ra's is a GOAT fighter but Oliver has been at it for 8 years. He shouldn't have been beaten THAT easily.

Speaking of unnecessary emotional acts, I despise Diggle these days. He used to be cool s1 and s2, but now he's all "Are you okay, Oliver?" "Oliver, you should think this through." And all that, ffs it's annoying. Should be killed off imo. Make Roy become Oliver's number one and only sideman.
