Meh, I think this is temporary.

The show needs to find its feet and cope with the rise of the Flash as the new kid on the block, so to speak. What worked for Arrow in the 2nd season is working well for the Flash in its first season.

Arrow is still a great show honestly, one of the best on TV...it's just in a slump right now creatively, which does happens when your writers are writings for 2 shows at the same time, one is going to suffer undoubtedly. Team Arrow just needs fresh direction along with fresh characters with a fresh purpose.

As much as I like Ra's....Slade was simply a better villain on this show. More of that pls.

Flash is great because it has one great interesting villain, isn't copying Batman and has some cool super powers combined with self awareness.

That's what I mean...the Nolan-esque Batman stuff can only go so far on TV. I'm sure we'll see more of that with other shows that upcoming, but I think Arrow has taken that as far as it can go. No shame in that nor nothing wrong with it. Writers need to recognize that.

Yeah, I agree with your post, just wanted to add my own opinion.
I really feel the whole dark gritty thin is more suited for movies or a Netflix style 10-13 episodes, like Daredevil and Marvel are doing. 23 episodes can easily fatigue when there's so much filler, unless there's a lot of comedic elements, which is what Arrow lacks.

I stopped watching after the 2nd or 3rd episode of the new season, I am waiting the season to end so I can watch them all at once not just wait every week for it to come online, and tbh I got bored/

Was a good episode tbh, apart from the flashbacks.

Nothing in the flashbacks makes any sense. They are just doing it for the sake of it and filling in the time. Shado's sister f off

Also, Lance was one of Arrow's biggest fans. He himself explained to everyone how Arrow has to make difficult decisions and how good a person he is. Gave that batman rip off speech on Arrow.

Now he has taken a massive U turn just because he didn't tell him about his daughter. Makes no sense at all. The whole arc is a mess.

They don't know how to build up Arrow vs LOA. It's nearly end of season and the show is going nowhere.

Episode was still miles better than the last few.

What's surprising is Ra's uncharacteristic approach. He never ever tried revealing batman's identity to the public. He respected him.

He claims to respect Oliver and yet told everyone who Arrow is. That's quite strange.

Yeah agreed, his approach doesn't fit the character, and doesn't fit any sort of logic.

If you want a guy to become leader of a top secret assassin organisation, why make him the most wanted man in the country?

This is why I don't like generic good guy decisions



Oliver wants to fight crime and do as much good as possible.


Now that Ra's made the offer, he has two options.


Option A) Spend the next 30 or so years until he's physically broken, assuming he makes it that far, with a couple of semi loyal followers who question 80% of his decisions. They run around protecting a City.

Option B) Live for hundreds of years, with an army of loyal followers who's sole purpose is to carry out your commands. Also these followers are all trained and very reliable.

BUT HANG ON, I'M A GOOD GUY. I CAN'T HAVE AN ARMY OF KILLERS.



Brb Ra's already told him that if he did not wish to kill people, those under him would also follow that rule.



So um.... is picking option A actually a good thing to do? Imo in the grand scheme of things it's actually hideously bad.

The writing for this has become so unbelievably bad.

The story with Shado's sister smh.

All Felicity has to do nowadays is make a whiney face and say "BUT BUT BUT that's INSANE"

Nah, like Mclewis said. The show is great, but in a slump atm. It will improve when they sort themselves out.

it was often kind of bad before, but imo in a likeable B-movie trashy way of bad.

The writing has been all over the place the entire season.

Just look at the insanely convoluted main conflict. Merlyn made Thea kill Sara so that Oliver forced to protect Thea (and is hellbent on protecting Merlyn his arch nemesis because he is Thea's father and saved her in season 2? never mind the Glades bombing and Tommy) kills Ra's (even though Ra's in 10x better than him) but fails (surprise) and survived a sword to the chest and fall from a mountain because of "the cold and the will to survive"+pencillin (I thought being shirtless in a snowstorm is more likely to kill than save you) and now Ra's wants Oliver to succeed him (f u Nyssa lol) because he is impressed by him (fair enough) and to force him to accept the offer is making him the most wanted man in Star City (wat) which is helped by Captain Lance being butthurt about Arrow not revealing that Sara is dead (you are a grown man ffs you know how this is a good man that protects the city you gave him a medal yourself)

And Olicity has almost ruined the show F these tumblr shippers

This show just needs to be a selfaware superhero show... There's no fun in it at all. No one wants to see hero vs police all the time... It's been done to death ffs.

Logic in arrow is the worst of any show ever.

Guess they have been hinting at that for some time. Can see the return of Deathstroke I guess. Maybe even introduce Talia.

See season 5 starts with a 5-7 years later text, then we see a teen Damian Queen being left in Oliver's care after having been trained as an assassin by Talia and Ra's

Well that Flash crossover finale should be good at least. This episode continued to lay the foundations for that.

Roy Great performance. Specially the prison scene was amazing. Will miss him if he is gone for good

The first half othe episode had one of the worst direction I've ever seen. That Atom suit flying and trying to fight

2nd half of the episode was really good. Ra's playing around with Thea lol.

Why can't Ra's be on as much as Slade used to? One of the best characters on the show and comes on for like 2 minutes in 3 weeks.

I officially hate Felicity. They've written her so BADLY this season, its ridiculous. She's basically Laurel from season 1 right now with the whining and complaining and preaching all the bloody time!


I officially lost it when she went to challenge Ra's talking about "I don't like it and I won't let it happen..." errr....what was she gonna do? Fight Ra's? That irrational thinking to cap off the incredibly annoying whining and complaining and preaching and always wanting to portray her feelings/opinions as the right one is what made me hate Laurel(whom I'm now starting to like).

I'm done with Felicity. Good riddance!
