Once we sign some actual recognized attackers, I only want to see Sterling in every odd game or so. He's much too young to be placed on the firing front. Also the fact that he's just not consistent enough at this point to be a regular starter.

Considering that Sterling just signed reporteldy a 30k-40k a week deal for 5 years, he better have something real to offer in the following seasons.

He's the best talent after Wilshere in the country.

If him and ince do come, we will have such a young strike force(In terms of a front three).

Young players
-Borini
-Suso
-Sterling
-Ince
-Sturridge
-Yesil
-Morgan
-Assaidi

Exp players
-Suarez
-Cole(most likley offloaded)
-Downing(most likley offloaded)

I'm thinking were going to need a exp player sometime soon, how long can we wait till they all become the stars we want them to become. I'm not saying someone of cavanis stature, but someone who can at least score 15 goals a season and doesn't have the burden of becoming a star on his shoulders. Oh how i would love kuyt from 3-4 seasons ago in our team right now.

I'm sorry but sturridge doesn't warrant 60k a week. Looks like were going to have to wait a year or two to see how this deal went.

We do need an experience player and I can us going in for a quality one in the summer like Barnes said in the post match last night against Fulham. There's not much we can get this window. With that said, Sturridge for me looks like a panic signing, really. And there's much better players we can get. The likes of Isco, Mertens, Remy and Walcott are all available...

Sturridge is 23 and Assaidi is 24. They're not really that young. But it does really show how inexperienced we are in the final third.

Also, didn't the Ince negotiations break down after representatives of Blackpool went public?

So a deal for Sturridge has been agreed pending a medical, expect to see him unveiled on January the 2nd wearing a Spurs shirt.

That said, Let's guess his shirt number!

Sturridge wears 23 at Chelsea, 23 is Carra's squad number right now Surprised

He'll fail his medical with the hamstring injury and we'll get Mertens.

Razz i really hope that happens
sturridge is not a bad player but somehow 12mi means, large amount from the chunk available will be spent on him
looking at the least of young players made by ynwa, there will be so much talent but inexperience too, so I still think we can sell Downing but only in following cases...
1. Signing of Sturridge and downing plays rubbish in next few matches and if we still get6-7 mi, just sell him

2. downing gives some amazing performances, and we are able to get 10-12 mi for him in jan window Razz , sell him

second case looks unlikely but if that happens, we can surely sign one more player in addition to the current plan so the squad will get nicely balanced rofl .

mr-r34 made the list mate, I just quoted it!

Really not happy Sturridge was our main target. I really hope he does impress... seems another average signing.

Wow. I'm surprised you guys aren't that excited about Sturridge. As a CFC fan I hate to see him leave.

He would definitely make an impact for you guys.

Welcome to LFC this season.

Sturridge has shown plenty of ability and potential before Di Matteo took over Chelsea, and only struggled after that. Short-term memories.

Sturridge is an excellent player, i have no doubt he will be hit for you guys.

In his first stint at regular playing time he was a hit for Bolton. Then when he came back to Chelsea in a new position he was alongside Mata our best player until January.

Sturridge has done really well in limited opportunity. Gutted we are selling him, but it is in his best interest to go elsewhere. Wish him luck.

I'm pretty sure I'm in a minority group that don't want Sturridge signed. (Think its run by me and messiah.)

Fairly harsh to judge everyone else on what we believe in as a poor signing albeit for different reasons.

I wouldn't ride sturridge of right now, ffs he isn't even our player yet, i'll give him roughly two years after that, we can see how we went.

I think Sturridge has good movement and a knack for being in the right position at the right time. Will get us some goals. But I'm surprised we are not looking for an out and out striker at the moment. Feel like it should be our number 1 priority.
