@donttreaddonred
i m nt expecting ince to come and light it up but my thinking was he will contribute better compared to current players we have in our squad. You know well whom I am talking about. yeah but i have to agree that it will be a big jump from championship to EPL, so it may go anyway like we have already experienced with shelvey.

School boy error by me - I used goal.com has a source - according to BBC it is infact £8.5m. And I also failed to realise Ince's contract runs out this summer.

However, although I'd like to see Coutinho develop into a top player, I don't think he's done enough at Inter - although he was used sparingly.

What do you guys think this means for Liverpool's system and players such as Henderson? I think 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1 could be the new look

He's 21 a year old winger that mainly operates on the left. Right footed. He's really developed into a goal scoring winger and is too good for the A-league but I'm not too sure he'll make it as a Liverpool player. He's very similiar to Ibe in our academy to be honest. Makes a lot of runs, gets into great positions but has a very inconsistent shot / final ball. His first touch is also average although Rojas can definitely cross the ball into a dangerous position.

I wouldn't want Rojas at our club, yeah his doing well in the a-league, like you said good positioning and runs, but so is a 37 year old del perio, and his bossing it for fun. Scored two goals last night against the tards, but both were either being saved or never going in and only made there way through lucky deflections. Be it he wouldn't cost more then 1 mil i wouldn't want to waste a squad position on him.

Have to agree with Mr-r34. The A-league is just not good enough tbh. Our reserves would star in that league. Hopefully it's just bs.

As much as i love the a-league it's true, if you watch what del perio has been doing you would be asking why we didn't sign him in the summer. I hope rojas leaves mvfc though, some mid tier english club, don't really care what happens to him though, he isn't aussie.

Blackpool have the option to extend it for one more year like had with Charlie Adam which I am pretty sure they will excercise.

To Ince contract doesn't run out until 2014

Ince's contract expires at the end of next season.

I personally think we should do what United has done with Zaha. Buy Tom's services but will join us officially in June/July.

It will bring recognition to the league though, which will only make the league get better. Del Piero isn't really bossing it either. Rojas does has a future as a footballer, but like you've said I don't want him nowhere near Liverpool. He won't be good enough for us.

Ganso wrote:i still cant believe Lucas was an AM.Its just impossible for me to imagine him as one.Anyway,Coutinho will play as a winger, not as a midfielder

He'll be an inside left forward type. Just behind the striker operating on the left hand side.

We've been playing the 4321 ever since Rodgers has came in mate. Henderson fits into the system. He's going to be massive for us in the future.

Rumor is Coutinho will have Medical on Monday and will be made official. Would've been done sooner but we have a match tomorrow.

Can't wait to see Liverpool in the elite football again. Probably in 2-3 years... so many young talents...

Inter President Massimo Moratti has confirmed Philipp Coutinho “has a great opportunity and a deal that could go well for us too” ahead of a €12m transfer to Liverpool.

The English media continue to maintain that Liverpool have offered £8.5m, whereas the Italian sources insist it is worth £10.2m.

“There are opportunities to be taken and at times players can have the chance to get more playing time. This is why I think it can be a great opportunity for Coutinho and a deal that could go well for us too,” Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.

Do you guys think we have missed out on Moses and Zaha! Not only both are wide players, they are young.

I would have liked Moses a lot - called for his signing on here if I remember right - but when Chelsea got interested there was probably no sense trying to compete in wages.

It will be intersting, who BR brings in to replace coates, how he handles the whole situation because there are only 3 more days left.

I thought as much. Unless Rodgers had some one lined-up, there's no logic selling Coats so close to end of window. True, Coats hasn't bloomed as expected, but started (almost) as much games as Carragher, so he is pretty important to the squad.

@Art: I don't think we even tried. Don't think Moses gets more than Downing and there always has been the talk of selling him. Besides he (Moses) would have got more pitch-time with Liverpool.

Yes, Chelses got more pull than us and Moses could have still signed for Chelses, but don't think he was ever in our radar.

Rodgers has specifically stated that while he would like to loan Coates out for experience he's unwilling to do so without having brought in another CB as it would leave the squad too thin at the back. Some people just love a bit of drama too much to pay much attention to "facts" and "logic." Razz
