It's really fun online and I'm pretty much a scrub. I just wish they released it a couple of months ago, I know it won't get enough of a run from me with FIFA, COD, and AC on the agenda.

Has some cod elements but by no means does it play like it.
It's a great game and I am very impressed with what 343 did.

That's the problem all my mates are either COD or Fifa fanboys and don't play anything else

I'll probably just find somewhere to rent it.

I bought it cause a friend said it was awesome, won't be playing it til tomorrow though...

If its like Call of Duty I'll be pissed...If its more like Halo2 or even H3 I'll be ecstatic

Agreed i haven't completed yet ( Sequence 11) been doing a lot of side mission and exploring stuff but it's definitely my personal GOTY as of right now.

i beat it in 2 days....lmao put in some serious hours...like 13 hours in 2 days

Went for the launch of Halo 4 in Dubai.

We were covering the event (filming). Got awesome goodies.

And the game ..... for free

The gameplay is definitely a big improvement over Reach, but IMO its still got too much unnecessary CoD-like bullshit

Customizable weapons sets, customizable armor, customizable tags....f*cks sake I wouldn't be surprised if they let you customize your characters underwear..

Thats not Halo...Halo is everybody starting with the same shit, the power weapons are scattered throughout the map, and you've got to f*ck the other team up........aaaaaaaaand go

They even changed the scoring in team slayer from 50 kills to win to 600 points, and you can get points in about 100 ways - Just stupid shit like that really pisses me off...Like why would you change something like that?

I'm convinced these asshole game developers just spend as much time as they can thinking up how much worthless, useless, completely unnecessary shit they can cram into these games

All this being said, while it shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence as 1 or 2 (Hell even 3) - Its still such an improvement over Reach (and Im so desperate for an FPS) that I'll prolly wind up playing it a lot


On top of all this, my Xbox Live connection must be shit or something, cause all the games are laggy as f*ck...haven't gotten a proper one in yet

I love the customization. The armor, color, tags, weapons.

Power weapons are not "scattered" over the map.
They are randomly generated several time through out a game.

I find it balanced regardless of class.

Ordinance is cool and not an over powered kill streak sure the Saw is a bit OP.
but with some distance the BR or DMR would take it down.


I see the similarity to COD in the class etc
I find myself only using one class BR,Magnum, Plasma, with Jetpack, ans. Shielding. That's it.

We know that, his point was that was classic Halo- everybody starts the same, and the power weapons are spread out around the map, and you have to gain map control and power weapons to win. That's what he means when he says

I'll wait until someone else gets it and I'll try it out, but I'm not buying it until I can try it out myself and see if I like it.

i traded in my Assassin's Creed 3 (2 days after i bought it and beat it) got halo 4 for 3$ haha COD black ops 2 next week

And what I'm saying is you don't need power weapons to win.
They are there on occasions. Sometimes only power weapon that appears is like a sniper and sword which was also on Halo 3


And on all the halos every would make a dash to the power weapons,over shield,and camo.

So I don't see the difference

Luckily it seems I can avoid some of the things I hate by playing Team Slayer Pro

Still has the f*cking moronic scoring system, but at least it doesn't have the customizable powerups

Yeah I get that but needing the power-weapons to win was the part of the game that I LIKED...Just my opinion here, but the fun of the game was fighting for control of the power-weapons and the key areas of the map

Now since you don't even need the power-weapons, as you stated, everyone just kind of runs around like a bunch of headless chickens

I always fall for the hologram...

Today has been a MUCH better experience than yesterday...

The customization nonsense still bothers me, but for someone like me thats just something I have to deal with the first day and then Ill probably barely ever touch that stuff again

The one thing that I truly truly don't like at all are the powerups....holograms, jet packs, etc etc - I think that stuffs f*cking stupid, and I'm not sold on the maps yet, Im a big fan of smaller, more symmetrical maps like Midship in H2, but those are both things that can either be avoided or improved.

Also....I think Ordinance is pretty dumb too but whatever

Regardless of all of this the battle rifle and DMR (which are basically the core of the game) have been so DRASTICALLY improved and that makes gameplay wayyy better, so I'm starting to grow into it

Its not what it used to be but it seems to be way better than any other FPS out there so

Tomorrow i'm going to either rent this or just yolo and buy it

It's interesting me so much that i'm going to have the game tomorrow regardless lol.

Really enjoying this so far.

I'm not very good seeing as i hav'nt played a Halo game since 07

But i'm improving and i just won my first game ( only really played FFA so far)

I think the main step was getting use to the controls and when to throw grenades, when to melee and when to shoot but im getting there.

Still need major work with my aim mind and need to paying more attention to where the power weapons spawn.

But having to struggle at a game and learn it from top to bottom is an interesting change of pace for me and provides satisfaction i have not really had since my Gears 1 days i actually screamed and fistpumped when i won

I'm doing beastly so far.
There are still maps I haven't really played on.

I guess because the bigger ones are reserved for big team slayer

Just picked it up today. Will start it out either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Pretty stoked to see how this looks.
