But Vidal plays CB for Chile and played nearly everywhere for Bayer.

He also drifts to RWB for Juve from time to time. Isla played in a few positions at Udinese.

I think this thread is more about players trying completely new positions or positions they have only done once or twice in their youth.

Thomas Müller is already training as stand-in goalkeeper. That's why Manuel Neuer considers to turn to outfield playing:

They already have played in so many positions that it wouldn't make sense to bring them up
