That's absolutely disgraceful from the whole team and not just Adriano.

I would have subbed him if I were the coach. This is just awful, disgraceful stuff.

Disgusting, disrespectful, shameful. The fairest thing would have been to make Adriano walk the ball into his own net. The only positive is that it didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things with Shakhtar scoring more anyway, but then again it's hard to be happy about that given Adriano's actions. If they don't fine him, it will look very bad for the club.

looks exactly like the kind of team that will be ok with organizing a draw with the opponent so it's favourable for them both to go through.

I would ban him for the rest of the competition.. I know it wouldn't happen, but that's what I would do if I had the power at UEFA to do so

IF FIFA bans players for simulating and diving on the basis of unsporting behavior, then this team should be punished as well,

If the game is stopped by the ref, there shouldn't be a ball drop if the ball was clearly in posession of one team. It should be given to that team.

Same way, they are refusing to introduce technology for offsides and ghost goals.

One question:
Some time ago I was a coach of a U-12 year old team. In a ball drop, one of my players shooted the ball towards the rival GK from midfield. The GK was a bit advanced and he unvoluntarily scored. Should we have let them score? I didn't know what to do.

Not going to blame the whole club for the ridiculous actions of one player. Still rate Shakhtar and I still fancy them in this comp.

Luiz Adriano though.....that gave stat padding a whole new meaning for me.

Yeah it looks like two of their players were gigantic bellends here and the rest of the team had to stand by them. Srna trying to allow them a goal doesn't surprise me, he is a real man, one of the players I'll always respect.

Adriano is lucky no one tried to take him out before the game ended.

Dont think there is a correct answer, because there are no rules on the matter.

Personally, I think you should let them score but only because your player shot the ball rather than passed it off target/for a throw on.

Whilst I have no respect for that goal that was scored, I do laugh at the fact that the dickhead who faked an injury got punished for his own lack of respect for the game and fair play
