Chelsea and Mikel are a disgrace

Chelsea have issued a statement accepting the FA's decision to take no action against referee Mark Clattenburg. Thye fail to apologise to Clattenburg despite making his life a misery with an unfounded allegation. Gourlay's an embarrassment to football

I'm raging so hard right now at how they could have ruined this man's life. Utter nonsense. Can't wait for Roman to get bored and sell them.

The evidence for the allegation came from one witness, Ramires. Ramires, whose first language is not English, explained that his instinctive reaction was to seek confirmation from John Obi Mikel as to what the referee had said.
John Obi Mikel, who was being spoken to by the referee, was much closer to the referee than Ramires and did not hear what it is suggested was said to him.
Three other witnesses, i.e. the other Match Officials, to whom everything said by referee was relayed via their communication equipment, are adamant the alleged words were not uttered.
There is nothing in the video footage to support the allegation.
For completeness, but of lesser weight, two other players, whose first language is English and were in the vicinity, did not hear anything untoward.

So Clattenburg was cleared because there was no solid evidence and it was basically one person's word against another, with a language barrier involved?

Let's just say Clattenburg was cleared because the media and everyone not involved with Chelsea thought Chelsea were just sore losers. Same way the media influenced the Suarez decision. Media driven FA. That is all.

So, so glad the FA are taking action against Mikel. Mentioned they should if Clattenburg was found guilty and of course the Chelsea trolls came out. Justice. Give him a 10 match ban, at least. Still a disagrace they've dragged his name through the dirt and he probably won't ever recover completely from it.

Either way mission accomplished and just as planned, he's always been a dodgy ref who no doubt has money on games. Now he will never ref a Chelsea game again .

What is Chelsea apologizing for? How about if he actually said what he said,? I didn't see United apologizing for Evra incidence. What is wrong with you sheeple?

How about leaking the story to the press, which they did ?

How about making an allegation that was so obviously riddled with inconsistincies that it would never hold up ?

How about making four unfounded allegations agains referees in the last 7 years one of which was found to be an outright lie and led to death threats to Anders Frisk which led to one of the worlds best referee's resigning ? They have previous with this.

How about making an allegation that Ramires (a guy who has english language difficulties) thought he heard a comment, yet Mikel, who was a lot closer and has very good english did not hear it.

How about causing Clattenburg and his family undue distress.

Take your pick.

The allegation was ridiculous and I would bet in the cold light of day Chelsea wish they had not made it.

No, you should do some research and assess the cases and decide for yourself.

Mourinho lied about seeing Frisk going into Rijkjards dressing room at half time. He stated that he witnessed it from the door of the chelsea changing room. Impossible considering it was around the corner. The Chelsea hierarchy backed him on this and never even apologised. Mourinho was found to be a liar and banned for 3 Ch League games if I remember correctly.

How come the other 3 officials heard nothing in this case. If you were to believe they would lie to back up Clattenburg then how come Mikel, who was far closer to Clattenburg did not hear it ? Ramires english difficulties should have also been assessed before a decision to report it was made.

What should not have happened was Chelsea leaked the story to the press that night.
That should never have happened.
