The Return of the Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea Transfer Merry-Go-Round

In January 2011 we saw Liverpool's Fernando Torres move to Chelsea for 50m and Newcastle's Andy Carroll move to Liverpool for 35m.

In January 2013 it has become a case of Deja-Vu with Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge moving to Liverpool for 12m and Newcastle's Demba Ba seemingly moving to Chelsea for 7m.

I think we can call agree that Newcastle "won" out of all 3 teams in 2011 with Torres being a shadow of his former self and struggling to score goals, Carroll never really adapting to leaving his boy hood club while Newcastle was able to buy Ba, Marveaux, Santon, Cabaye, Santon and Cisse among others which led to a 5th place finish and Europa League qualification.

The real question is.... now 2 years later in 2013 who will come out of the Merry-Go-Round smelling of roses and will come out smelling of crap this time?

For all of our sakes let's hope Chelsea get the short end of the stick.
