Just gave Osasuna (dont know the guy), two yellow cards for handballs. Second one he was trying to head it but ball touched his arm. Is this rule too much? I feel it is.

definitely too much. there are cases where a yellow card is the correct decision for a handball but in la liga its far far too common

well the refs are just enforcing what the FA have made a standard. its really the FA's fault.

Well, poor David Alaba also got a yellow for an unintentional handball in the CL by a Spanish ref, IIRC. I think there is a pattern emerging (just like the above stats show, too)

I dont remember which one, but a couple of seasons ago Pique was sent off for 2 unitentional handball and conceded a penalty :facepalm: just as today..

I don't think UEFA would've appointed a spanish referee between a german and spanish team. But the stats are devastating enough in their own right.

umm the professional rulebook says no handball, no matter how intentional, is a yellow card

but in the case of intentional volleyball like handballs, it is considered poor sportsmanship to handle the ball to stop a counter, then only is it a yellow card.

There was a question in my refereeing taking exam

Well from what I understand, every unintentional handball shouldnt even be considered a foul. Handballs HAVE to be intentional.

So yeah, its really bad to get a yellow every time it touches your arm/hand.

La Liga officiating is the worst I know, nothing new here really. What is shocking is how this happens year after year and nothing is done. Its as if they actually dont see how much they suck.
