PSG vs Barcelona

Why is there no thread to discuss this game?

Anyway. Haven't watched enough of PSG to make a judgement... But I do know Carlo is a CL goat. I could see PSG winning this, the Milan tie hasn't convinced me that Barca are back at all.

Will probably watch this instead of Juve-Bayern tbh becouse I could easily see that game becoming a snoozefest 0-0

I don't see Ibra having a big impact on this tie, especially since he's out for the first leg in Paris. Barca will need to be able to deal with PSG's pace.

PSG don't have the personnel to sit back, absorb the pummeling Barcelona inflict on opponents and then counter attack, and going head to head with them attacking wise is football suicide. Ancelotti is going to have to pull a miracle out of his hat

Apparently PSG are solid defensively. I think I saw a few stats about them being good defensively too. Also they looked good defensively against Valencia, but then again every time I've seen Valencia's possession play, it hasn't been the best in terms of creating chances.

If PSG do have a solid defense, then they can sit back and counter with Lucas, Lavezzi, Pastore, Menez and Ibra in the 2nd leg.

I watched PSG vs Valencia and PSG parked the bus. they will do it again against barca. no doubt.

With Ibra out for first leg they will just add another DM to mark Messi better and heavily...

I still think you will win the first leg comfortably tbh.

Notice a pattern on what teams that usually win you? They've experience against you.

Chelsea, Milan, Madrid, Valencia or other La Liga teams... All of them has met you before.

This is why I don't believe PSG got what it takes to win it. But they got Carlo and he has shown he can be the decider in CL games.

They also have Silva, Sakho, Lavezzi, Matuidi, Verrati, Lucas, Pastore, Sirigu, Menez, etc.

Yeh, they're second behind Bayern in terms of least goals conceded on the 'return of the top defenses thread'.

Barcelona will win this and they won't even sweat to much.

Barca will beat them but not by a big margin.

This won't by any means be easy... If we turn a blind eye and start playing Iniesta on the left because Cesc is suffering than we will struggle...

Psg ridiculously underrated in this thread. It will be tough. Italians are hard fir barca to break through.

With Messi out, they should play a counfer attacking 4-3-3, with Lucas, Menez, and Lavezzi up top to exploit Barcas slow and clumsy defenders, and then add another midfuelder to not be outnumbered in midfield. Then sit back, press hard once they get into PSGs third of the pitch or even half, and counter. I dont think anyone should wrioff PSG here. they have alot of talent and i wouldnt even be suprised to see them fo through. Obviously Barca are favorites hut i axtually see PSG pulling it out.

I like barca, but id like to see an upset.

This tie should be intriguing. PSG better keep a clean sheet at home if they want to have a real chance of going to the semis.

TBH, this tie is going to be awesome.

I don't think form will come into play, it will be more about, who can get the first goal.
