morata is going on loan according to reports. this should be good for him, I just hope he gets more game time there than here.

Madrid should be in the cuadrado race. he is an excellent player.


Madrid should also go for borja valero, he will fall into ancelotti's system seamlessly in place of khedira.

his passing and decision making is superb, something that needs improvement in midfield. linking play. brings experience and he doesn't have to adapt to Spain.

Hopefully not to Arsenal. Most likely won't start there.

borja sadly isnt needed with what we already have.

I don't think we need any new players in the middle. Upfront to sign a new striker is not really required, but Perez may still go ahead and buy someone(Suarez/Falcao). Only area I would look in Central Defense e.g. Eliaquim Mangala. He is young (22) and really good prospect and can start.

perez is not going to sign any striker, there won't be competition like there used to be with higuain and benzema anymore. A main CF, and a back up, that's how it is, and that's how it will remain (that's how it should be). We will only sign a CF if Benzema isnt up to par.

Money is not a problem for Madrid. But the point is Central Defense is a problem area for Madrid. Now that Varane is out it is even more apparent.

The only thing we need is a CM to play alongside Xabi and Modric, Vidal being the best option but impossible to buy. I still don't trust this Illarra-Xabi-Modric trio, and Casemiro isn't going to start this season, even if he played very good in pre-season. Hope he proves that he is starting material in the Copa matches.

we don't need a defender, we don't need a midfielder; khedira will be back next season and we have enough players in midfield...even if xabi doesn't play as much as before we have illara (who we jus signed for 30 mil), we've got modric, and casemeiro (good back up)....this team will be a complete destructive force in europe with suarez (or falcao, preferably suarez), suarez' hunger, never say die attitude and his hatred for losing is the fire power we need...coupled with his technique and scoring prowess....i know people like benzema but he isn't going to take us to the next level

As Nick said it is better to have one regular striker and a supporting one. Somebody like Suarez/Aguero would be a great as a regular strike, but Benz will have to move on in that case. With goals not being an issue upfront I doubt this change will happen in Jan.

Alonso and Illarramendi are too similar to start together. Plus neither of them offer much going B2B.

who cares about going box to box, positional play is more important. illarra and xabi can perfectly play together

Wouldn't matter if we were still play counter-attacking, but being able to offer something in the final third when playing possession is important. If they do play together, then it would be more of a 4-2-1-3 formation with Modric at CAM. If that's what Ancelotti wants, then it could work.

or Isco as CAM because he offers more offensively and to the team structure. Modric will only play alongside Alonso against weak laliga teams at home. Away from home against big teams it's most possibly going to be Alonso-Illarra with Isco infront of them

Alonso and Illarra don't need to get into the box with Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale and Isco in the team. What they need to do is offer organisation and be able to keep the ball under pressure

Neither of them can do that due to a lack of agility and dribbling skills. Which is why Modric has to start.

I agreed with you until the second paragraph

Carlo mentioned in a recent interview that all of Modric, Illarra and Casemiro were in competition for a spot next to Alonso. I don't think Carlo sees Modric as a CAM and neither do I. Neither do I think he is better than Illarra therefore Modric will not be playing against big teams imho

he will still get plenty of playing time though because we have sorted out our performances so Carlo can rotate as he wishes at home vs laliga teams

I like Isco, but he's still too young and he's no Ozil to have born football intelligence. His decision-making is sometimes as awkard as Di Maria's, but at least Di Maria is a winger, not a midfielder. Modric is way better with his decisions IMO

Modric isnt a better AM than Isco, i dont think Modric offers that much to final play or assists alot.. Modric is better CM than Isco though no doubt..which is why Carlo plays Isco when we needs goals

Gundogan has rejected all contract renewals from Dortmund, and the media in Germany take this as a sign that he is closer than ever to Real Madrid.

His contract ends in the summer of 2015 and Dortmund would look to sell him to us next summer before his deal expires. Sahin would be part of the operation. Dortmund want 30m Euro for him, but no chance they get that when he has 1 year left on his contract come World Cup time. Sahin and a few million should do it. Class player.

IMO he's perfectly capable of playing with Xabi in the pivot and in the trivolet with either Xabi and Modric or Isco. He's the complete CM.

Yeah he is good, but we have illarra already in a similar profile, and he hasnt even given 50% of his talent yet. We need something else, would rather spend the money on Vidal or Pogba, and more physically potent player. Gundogan plays his double pivot with Bender, who does the dirty work, who would do that for him here? Xabi?

what you suggest is not realistic at all, and you are overrating him most likely.

We don't really need any midfielders. Isco can't even start currently.
