His development has been one of the stories of the season for Arsenal. Was quite disliked by most at the club and we wanted to get rid but he started showing why Arsene bought him in the first place. Gone from 0 to 100 this season. Brings both offensive and defensive attributes to the game. Great dribbler, passer and has started to score goals now too.

we need to lock this mofo up with a contract or else we risk giving him away for free/cheap and then watch him shine for other teams.

As happy as I am to see him rise to the occasion and deliver the goods, It also saddens me to know that OX's (who he has replaced) career at arsenal is nearing its end. I hope I am wrong.

I look back at the player OX was when we first got him , and compare it with what he is now. You just have to wonder where it all went wrong.

I don't think it's over for Ox, fwiw. He's not in the best phase atm, but he has the quality to pull out of that.

He needs a run of games and consistency. At his age, we were also shitting on Ramsey and Theo - those guys have made it into the limelight since.

Of course we can't give up on Ox now after we witnessed what happened to Ramsey and Coquelin after tough a phase at the club.

But Joel has been really impressive and should be starting ahead of Ox as things stand.
