Happy birthday khedira!

Whether we like it or not, khedira has improved immensely. If only he could finish.. he would be one of our top goal scorers.. like seriously. The attacking runs he makes are genius. Benzema should take note.

Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has begun the first stage of his recovery after surgery on a medial and anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The 26-year-old went under the knife during mid-November’s international break, having suffered the injury to his knee whilst in action for Germany against Italy.

Reports now are that this week has Khedira starting the first phase of his recovery, which is expected to last as long as six months and has his involvement at next summer’s World Cup in doubt.

The midfielder will be working with Bayern Munich and German national team doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt, who attended the player’s surgery.

Müller-Wohlfahrt, who is known for his expertise on knee injuries, has previously worked with the likes of Jurgen Klinsmann, Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard and Michael Ballack.

seriously? thats absolutely retarded. excuse my language

i guess its nice but he suffered a severe injury. to sign him on a contract that could keep him here until he is 30 without understanding the ramifications of his injury is the dumbest thing ive ever heard.

Khedira's aim is to return to Real's line-up in early May, giving him a chance of being included on Löw's list for the World Cup, according to Marca.

Khedira, who is currently doing recovery work at home, plans to fly to Madrid this Saturday to watch El Clasico live.

Sami Khedira has said he is close to a Real Madrid comeback from the knee injury suffered on international duty in November.

Khedira tore the anterior and medial ligaments in his knee while playing for Germany against Italy and has been sidelines for approaching five months.

But, AS reports, the midfielder is nearing a return and according to Khedira, he is growing more confident in his fitness all the time.

“I feel like a football player now, because I’m back on a football pitch. It’s like being at home,” the 26-year-old said.

“It feels like I’m nearing the end. I’m close to returning to the team and that gives me motivation to keep fighting.

“The beginning was very hard. The first four or five weeks was the hardest.

“I was on crutches and couldn’t walk. I was very limited.

“In the past few weeks I have been more comfortable with the knee in training. I’m very happy to tread on the grass again and I’ll be running outdoors with the ball.

“I already have more confidence in the knee and I’ve noticed I feel more secure. I feel good.”

Khedira paid tribute to the medical team at Santiago Bernabeu and revealed he has greatly missed the life of a fully fit footballer.

“The medical service at Real Madrid is very good. I trust the people who have been working on my recovery,” he continued.

“I’ve known them for six or seven years and that makes it easier.

“After a long injury and then such a recovery you can work to iron out your flaws and work on the things you do well to make them better.

“I miss the team, my teammates, the Coach. It’s very hard to train alone every day.

“It’s important for me to keep in touch with my teammates and the Coach. That makes everything easier.

“It’s a pleasure to have colleagues like them. They are big players with equally big hearts.

“We have a chance to win three titles. Everyone at Madrid wants to win, especially in the Champions League, and no one more than the players.”

Medran is a CM and Llorente is not ready. And lol as if Carlo will trust them when he subs in DeThomas in the 90th minute when we needed to score Laughing Even if we had no midfielders he would play our CBs there

lol i know

see someone was saying recently how madrid's midfield is loaded, and the club has a lot of midfielders. this was after di maria and xabi left.

this is why pogba or someone alike should have been a priority signing.

i am eager to see what ancelotti does in the next match

Well things just seem to get better and better

Apparently Khedira was not injured with Germany but with us during the LaReal game instead we "hid" it until the window closed fearing back clash after the defeat and so many midfielders gone with no replacements

it should not be "intetesting" who he starts vs Atleti, it would seriously be a criminal offence if he didn't start with Modric-Illarra-Kroos, I couldn't care less if we create a grand total of 1 chance all game I'd rather that than look clueless when defending

you have to look at cost; pogba isn't gonna cost 20 million, he'll not cost 40 either. he's younger than kroos, and with the financial issues italian clubs face, juve would ask for an arm and a leg in terms of transfer fee. a pogba deal cannot be done as a priority signing. its a "galactic" (i hate that word) signing that will take a whole summer to pull off

look at how juve stalled on vidal, they'll do the same for pogba unless we bring something like 90 million, afterall, many will say if we can pay 80 for james, why not more for pogba....i like the guy too, but you have to look at costs, and once again, if we did sign him, like i said before, somebody has to seat on the bench....carlo hasn't worked that part out yet....u play modric, kroos, and pogba, up front u play benz bale and cron....what happens to florentino's 80 million toy?

the only way a pogba deal would make sense is if he was on the last year of his contract, to get him for cheap (which isn't happening anytime soon, he's only 21) or if we sold di maria, and never signed james (selling di maria, regardless of who we brought in is just foolish)

I have said in the past that our midfield is stacked, i never said it was the best, but that it was 'stacked'. Being stacked simply means, we have too many bodies in that position, and that's carlo's biggest worry when it comes to new signings....if we were to sign pogba some things should have been carried out;

1.we should have been able to sell khedira, (not cos he isnt good, i feel people are way too harsh on the guy, but cause of his wages, 5 mill is too much for som1 warming the bench),

2. don't buy james, cos both of them together would cost 200 mill, i know people think money isn't an issue for real, but when u spend 200 on transfer and have to account for the wages of such players u need to cut costs and valuable players will leave

3. signing pogba wud still mean di maria leaving; back to the issue of cutting cost

and lets not forget, we have a 30 plus million player on our team as a bench man in illara; i'm not opposed to pogba but things have to be done with reason; i didn't expect xabi to leave and even with khedira injured, we are stilll not sure if carlo will stick to the formation he's been using or if illara will play

my point basically is, u can't tie up a deal for pogba 2 weeks to the end of the transfer window....contrary to what adidas might make one believe, doing that is impossible. signing pogba and james does little to solve anything, one of em will be on the bench.....the bottom line is, we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot cos we didn't sign pogba; we shot ourselves in the foot cos we destroyed a set system, and are now in place of searching for a new one

ok, I agree it was late in the transfer market for the club to sign pogba after xabi left. but we don't know how long negotiations for xabi were talking place.

madrid knows khedira will never have an injury free season, he will have issues and illaramendi is just not worth the time of day. bought solely on potential. hopefully he fulfills it this season.

ancelotti said he will change the system. lets see what he does.

maybe varane as a defensive midfielder. I wouldn't mind seeing how he does in that position, with kroos and modric in front.

I don't think Pogba is all that creative so he wouldn't have really replaced Di Maria.

they been listing 70m for pogba, if we paid 80 for hames, they will milk perez for 100m...
he always had been, 30m player to me, 40m at most for potential or hype.

don't think he will fit well as dm role, if not this then what? drop either modric or kroos?
