We are 99.999999% going in with Agger and Kolo as our CB pairing Sepi.

I am completely Ok with that...I remember how he stopped sterling last season, not by force but catching him with his speed and skillful positioning. I am sure he will perform good for us, but still we must get another CB.
Worry to me is only future of coates, i would love this guy to go somewhere he can play more

The only positive is, Kolo looks very good aerially and that's one thing we really struggled in last season.

If Willian deal happens, I genuinely think only City for definite have a better attacking line up than us ( Chelsea still not a top striker) .

One more CB and I'll be positive. Not seen Cissokho for years, so no idea what to expect from him.

Yeah, it's true that we'll be left a little short and/or unbalanced if either Gerrard or Lucas are unavailable.

Yeah definitely agree, like the look of that attacking front 4 a lot with Stevie and Lucas in the pivots. Wonder if we're waiting for deadline day to go in for Papa one last time hmm

That side looks unbalanced to me.

How's Willian's work rate? Eriksen works very hard from what I've seen of him over the years.

I think BR has had a word with Ferguson. screw defense and balance...just go and outscore the opposition :coffee:

As far as I have read reports, seen little...he is sometimes out of position defensively and works hard but not comparable to our guy Hendo, whose work rate is almost matchless!! BR has to work on his defensive side a bit

Well, given that the former is an attacking, flair-oriented Brazilian winger and the latter is more along the lines of a traditional English box-to-box midfielder who's game is built around hard work that's not particularly surprising.

United has always had a solid defence during the Fergie era.

Also for the oppistion teams it will be difficult to focus only on cou as they have someone else to worry about.
He's not a goal threat, he's not THAT creative, he's just... flair really. lol

30m for him would be as stupid as splashing 35m on Carroll or 20m on Downing.

He'll take the burden off Cou for 6 months before everyone realises he's just like Gervinho and then people will stop marking him. That's all he is, really. A Brazilian Gervinho. 30m for a player, especially on 100k wages is just ridiculous.
In season 12/13, he played 6 matches in CL, having scored 4 goals and 3 assists, involvment in 7 goals. His three assists were each against Juventus (away), Chelsea and Nordsjaelland. Out of 4 goals, 2 vs Nordsjaelland and 2 vs chelsea (away).
In season 11/12 playing in Ukranian league, in 27 matches 5 goals and 16 assists.
:coffee:
We'll see.

I tried getting into the Russian League (stopped watching after a month due to time zones) and saw nothing to be impressed by Willian. He seemed average when I watched him.

What's the price of Willian! £30m or €30m!!! If it's the former I would be damned. Even that later seems very steep since he hasn't played in the major leagues.

£30m is being quoted and yeah, like I said earlier, paying the same fee that Shakhtar milked out of rich Anzhi now that poor Anzhi are trying to sell would indeed seem somewhat stupid.

The difference, of course, being that the latter would take one look at an offer from a club outside of the EL, nevermind the CL, and laugh.

AND he had a release clause, which Willian doesn't.
