Where was he in todays match? I was looking forward to seeing him play. Injured or fatigue or what?

Kovacic? He's injured unfortunately, been injured since he reported back to training. Initially they said it would only take 7 days, but by the looks of it, it more serious than that.. Hope he makes a return as soon as possible

What do you guys make of Icardi's pre-season so far?

So far, Belfodil has outshined Icardi in the preseason games, his dribbling and technical ability has overshadowed Icardi. I still think Icardi will be the better player he just needs more time to gel with the team and learn how to link up play better.

Yea its been the Bilfodil show upfront in the preseason, but then we didnt creating any chances to begin with so its hard to judge Icardi so far

Yeah definitely, IMO we need kovacic for Icardi to shine, will be only source of creativity will be him, don't you think?

Yeah kovacic is definitely our main creative midfielder. Alvarez is also someone I think would be a strong creative force in the team. When pplaying directly behind the striker he shines. Yesterday against Juve he was a totally different player than in the other preseason games just because he played a little higher up the field.

Very much agreed, he's pretty much useless when played in midfield but I'm not too worried about that because I don't think Mazzarri wants to play him there anyways
