He looks ridiculous. It's hard to take him seriously as a footballer with such an odd haircut. It just screams that he wants attention and is willing to get it by ANY means necessary.

All hairstyles are intended to attract a certain kind of attention (or avoid it). By choosing something so different from the cultural norm, even by football standards, he's demonstrating a need to attract attention. (Don't try to tell me that it's not THAT different. We have a thread discussing it... It's THAT different.)

It's not necessarily negative, but it is intended to attract attention. Same deal as Freddy Ljundberg's infamous Arsenal hairdo and his subsequent reversal during his time in MLS.

Oh, and I never used the word "whore" to describe him, nor did I intend anything of the sort. I just implied that he liked the limelight. Please don't take my comments as more negative than they were intended.
