Well not as much as they would when they were honestly. They didn't really spend any of their money from cl or player sales just to pay off debts that aren't even due for like 7 or 8 years from what I understand. Probably a smart thing though. Because they don't need to spend now they were already easily the best scottish team. So better to not have any lingering debts for later so they'll have more to spend when rangers are back and aberdeen is challenging for the league again

Drew 1-1 away to Hibs

Poor result. Stokes and Pukki are both good player but none of the two of them are penalty box strikers like Hooper and the more the season has went on the more evident is we miss someone like that. We just don't have any sort of creativity from midfield other than Commons. For the first time in all my time following Celtic, 3 of our best players are defenders, Lustig, Ambrose and Van Dijk are all excellent.


I'd say we do try, we are still unbeaten in the league this season although we haven't been particularly great in many games.


Not confident for Tuesday against Ajax at all, just don't think we have enough going forward to win, Samaras is our only real attacking threat in Europe with Commons being a doubt.

Delighted to have been proved wrong. Atmosphere was brilliant and a great win. Van Dijk and Mulgrew were excellent.

We weren't very good today. Good to get 3 points though. Was delighted for Balde to score also good to see Kayal getting back to his best. Hopefully he will become an important player for us.

We were awful at the weekend. No creativity. We are a team built to counter attack in Europe which leads to poor performances in the league but we usually have a bit of extra quality which leads to us winning more often than not.


Ajax away will be a tough game but we are playing them at the right time. A draw should be enough to secure 3rd

Awful last night again. Badly need a rebuilding job. No striker who can be relied on to score. No creative midfielder. We have a defence which is Champions league level but the rest of our team falls very very short. We were struggling to even pass and control the ball last night, embarrassing.

4-1 away to Ross County today. Much better performance, amazing what a change of tactics will do. Good atmosphere today as well. VanDijk will go for more than Wanyama.

Surprised lCT has kept the gap this close for this long. They just keep winning with 32 points after 15 is really great for a non old firm side.. Aberdeen just three points behind but lll be happy if they just finish top six with how inconsistent they've been.

Meanwhile Rangers in league 1 have a 13 point lead with 45 points after 15 games with a +52 goal difference

Yesss! Was sure that was a loss. Yet again week after week Aberdeen with late heroics! Amazing season keep it up Dons!

Would have prefered a win of course to keep as close to Celtic as possible, but oh well lol... Rooney scoring on his debut!

Aberdeen beat Celtic for first time in 5 years. Aberdeen now has the opportunity to win more trophies this season than Celtic do after knocking them out of the scottish cup 2-1. Pretty nuts

Want to enjoy this more but too gutted from the Arsenal game today to get excited

Also if any mods are reading this can you change this thread to a Spfl general thread? Would make a new thread for Aberdeen and such but there doesn't seem to be much of a point

I would keep it as is.
