Barcelona has already been in contact and an initial agreement with Ter Stegen, although a deal still needs to be reached with Borussia Mönchengladbach. Despite this, the German club sees him joining Barça. At least, that is what Borussia's manager appeared to be saying when asked about Ter Stegen’s future. "We hope that he stays with us, but when a club like Barcelona comes for you, well… We have to be realistic, but remain hopeful," said Lucien Favre, the German club’s coach.

Hope this isn't true. FFS, when are the elections? I can't stand this clown anymore (Rossell), he is trying to destroy everything Laporta and Guardiola have built and put his own trademark on Barca.

I won't be too surprised if Messi really leaves in a year or two as some rumours suggest with Rossell and co still in charge.

If felipao goes to Barca, i hope you lot enjoy the last year of possession football.He will play the way he wants since he doesnt give 2 cents on the fan's opinion.

Honestly though, i think a change of tactics is needed for you guys, however i dont think Scolari would be the ideal guy to make that transition.

Depends on if someone comes to replace the departed or not, aswell as who would fetch the most.

Though im leaning towards Mascherano because he actually might have to play at some point, Song is relatively easily benched.

If Mascherano is sold, then surely we have to buy someone then.

If we sell Song, nothing will change.

I'd sell Song as Mascherano can be 3th / 4th choice centerback and Song can't.

Song is doing well as a backup DM. Mascherano can't play this role.
Keep Song for one more season, meanwhile give a chance for Samper to see what he can do at high level and then decide if we need to sell Song, give Samper a main role or buy a new DM.

Napoli & Benitez want Masche, sell him for 20M and use the money to buy a solid Center back!

For next season, we need a CM [someone to rotate with Xavi], CB [replace Masche] and GKs [replace Valdes+Pinto].

Keep Song, promote Samper and Rafinha back from loan [instead of JDS].
I would also keep Deulofeu on loan for 1 more year at Everton.
Tello should leave for an EPL team, we should get 10+M

I'd keep Song as he can play as CM too. However, lets be realistic, Messi's best friend isn't going anywhere. And I would keep him as back-up CB.

Khaled, I like your line-up. We desperately need a GK (or two), a CB and a CM, and they should all be as close to world class level as we can. It would be ideal if we could wrap these deals before the WC as prices will explode afterwards, but with Rossell & Zubi this is only wishful thinking.

I remember this too. That's why I went on a rant agains Rossell a couple of posts back Very Happy

. If Tata leaves, I'd get someone like Frank de Boer tbh. Someone who has the balls to bench the stars and actually start rebuilding the squad piece by piece.

Uff, many things are wrong in this planification. First, if we sell Mascherano we need 2 CB as you can't coun on Puyol (old and injured, he'll probably retire or leave) and Bagnack (too raw and not good enough right now).
Montoya is probably going too, but I wouldn't sign any backup RB. Adriano can play both and in a crazy though I think we could convert Adama into a great RB. We also have Grimaldo as a future LB so moving Adriano as RB would give space for him.
Counting Xavi as a starter for next season is a fail. He surely needs to give way to the younger sometime. Cesc/Iniesta should be our partnership and if we sign a CM someone should go. We should probably loan Rafinha one more season.
Adama is way too young and raw to be promoted and I wouldn't sell Tello unless we are recalling Deulofeu.

- Let's buy a CB first than think about buying another one...
[Also, I prefer the 4th Cb to be young and one for the future].
- Bartomeu yesterday said that the negotiations with Montoya to sign a new contract have started. [Bartra deal is almost done, for 4 or 5 years].
- Keeping Tello to play few minutes and than sell him the year after is a waste of time. We already know that Tello won't make it at Barcelona, give these minutes to someone like Adama.

anyway, we all agree that we need to buy at least 3 players GK, CB and CM for next season!
