Leave Benzema alone! He doesn't take criticism well.. He'll just end up drowning himself in food again :coffee:

Higuain has been slacking as of recently.
So the Higgy vs Benz debates are irrelevant.

Another thing too.
Chelsea fans can put up with Fernando Torres not scoring for 150 days and we get upset because our forward missed some chances?

hi

He cost us against Levante too

Sure man.....,he plays 45 minutes and actually scores(only for idiot Pepe to be offside),apart from 1 miss is easily the best Madrid attacker on the pitch.

Get's taken off and we don't have another mildly decent attempt on goal with Ronaldo Ozil and Higz on..... 🐰 sure it's a completely rational theory..........

Not to even mention Di Maria

@Bhends

Lol comes out of nowhere.I may have made his performance sound worst than it actually was .... I'm mad about one play not the entire game.He generally played well apart from finishing .It was his worst performance of what has been an unbelievable season......

But I am not at all happy with that Ronaldo moment just before he came off.

Then why is he starting? We had a perfectly health proven goalscorer on the bench. If Benzema had 4 goals in 3 games sure but it was Pipita that was in good form.

Anyway I don't blame Benz, he did score the first goal and these type of games happen. He'll pick himself up and we'll move on Heart

He is 100% correct though (for me anyway). So instead of just expressing disappointment explain why you think he is wrong.

I don't know. every time he had a bad game or misses some chances you and Crim attack him like he is a liability.

you love Higz i get it but Benz deserves more than this. he is playing great and most importantly works his ass off every game for us and some missed chances will not change that.

He missed an open net though. It was some Fernando Torres-esque. Despite that I've said in this thread that it's OK, sometimes you miss chances.

Now look at it from Higuain's perspective, he's scored 4 goals in 3 games and he keeps getting told how much Benzema is better and technically gifted than him then he sees him miss and open net.

Now we have two options:

1) Defend both our strikers when they have bad games (I have defended both) sadly not many do this.

2) Accept that Benzema is not the igwe, that he still needs to stay focused and finish his easy chances. Benzema gets the most protection on this board despite being hyped as some sort of playmaker/striker Zizou/R9 hybrid. lol

This.

And when it comes to finishing chances. Higgy takes it for me any day of the week.

I'd start him over Benz.

Before Malaga, Higuain had 4 goals and 2 assists in 3 games.....

Higuain only needed 8 shots for those 4 goals as well.

I am only pissed because if Benzema was in such form he would never of been dropped. But they do it to Higgy for a player who is rusty and spent alot of time out in a difficult match against an in form team.

Annoying as all hell

Higuain started the last game.

It's a rotation

Benz also played extremely well when he came on against Cska

This is a factor for me as well. I have nothing against Benzema but his playing time is coming at the expense of Higuain's hot streak. I remember when he scored 3 hat tricks in 4 games and was still benched for Lyon home match in the group stage.

Now he's been in another good run of form and he gets dropped again. In my opinion he has every right to be annoyed.

If you absolutely have to start Benzema so he doesn't cry to Zidane play him instead of Kaka, no way he could do worse lol

You can bet your ass if Benzema was on a hot run of form like Higuain in October or recently he would start consecutive games.

That is what is annoying here. Higuain needs a consistent run of goals just to be considered for rotation.

Ronaldo would really really need to stick to his wing though.

Where were you when Benz couldn't get 5 mins at the end of games?

Anyway, they've played relatively the same amount of games this season. My stance on this has never changed and will never changed, they both deserve more minutes and the one who's preventing that is Ronaldo.

The same one who's been the least efficent of the 3 this season.

I don't see how Benz, who has been performing at a level as high as anyone is , is to blame when he's played 1200 less minutes than Ronaldo himself.
