Arsenal-Liverpool Discussion
Ramsey-Wilshere-Ozil will run rampant against a never been a "top top" player 34 year old Gerrard, a rusty Lucas and the good looking version of James Milner.
G-Rude will destroy Sakho and Skrtel in the air, and Cazorla will embarrass Kolo Toure on his return to Emirates.
Gibbs and Sagna will have a field day with the space Liverpool's 3 man defense leaves behind on the flanks, and provide plenty of Service to offensive Arsenal players to do damage.
BOSSielny (one of the most cringe-worthy nicknames I've ever heard btw) Will boss the fak out of Suarez and Sturridge and don't let them get a sniff. Mertesacker will score a goal as Liverpool can't defend set pieces.
At the end of the game which ends 6-0, Suarez gets frustrated, and swaps his shirt with Rosicky. He walks around Emirates in the Arsenal uniform and publicly announces he can't wait to join them in January.
We're in for a looooooooooooooooooong afternoon. Coutinho only on the bench, Agger ostracized, Moses brainless, and no clean sheets in 6 games. Please be kind on us Arsenal !!

You're forgetting Sir Shezny putting in an Oliver Khan-like performance, capping it off with a scorpion kick goal-line clearance in the 90+6th minute of play to deny Liverpool an equalizer

Reverse jinxing aside this is one game which I can't call. It could honestly go either way.
I think Arsenal's lack of width without Walcott, Chambo and Podolski might play to Liverpool's strengths though. Won't fancy Mertesacker in a 1v1 situation against either Suarez or Sturridge either.

Meh Arsenal are clear favorites. If they get some more fatigue/injuries/suspensions to key players during Chelsea match and Wenger decides to rest some players for Dortmund then we might have a chance.
PS. I call a penalty and a red card during the match. Also the team that plays the better football on the day will lose.

Clear favourites? Not sure if srs or reverse uber jynx. We're clearly the underdogs. Media has been going on about how "the tough tests for Arsenal start now" and " they've had it easy so far". Coupled with the fact that half our squad has been decimated thanks to injury AND we have a game vs Chelsea mid week. I'd be surprised if we got away with a point. Would be even more surprised if we won

I agree, I take a point now. Liverpool striker force is too much for any team to handle.Lex wrote:Clear favourites? :lol:Not sure if srs or reverse uber jynx. We're clearly the underdogs. Why is this moved to Arsenal section?
It was made by a Liverpool fan about Liverpool and ends up at Arsenal section?

I wouldn't say that.... they are both fantastic but can be dealt with.Raptorgunner wrote:I agree, I take a point now. We did for 70 mins until our 10 men started to tire..... the key is to press and not allow much space between the lines and suffocate the midfield.
You can definitely handle them if you play to your best and go in with the correct game plan.

Re: Arsenal-Liverpool Discussion
This thread is a little pointless in the LFC section. Should either be moved back to General or merged with the Premier League discussion -thread.
Anyway, Arsenal are clear favorites, our only hope is that we are able to bog them down in the center since they are missing some great wide players.

Re: Arsenal-Liverpool Discussion
These threads are entirely pointless to begin with, but they don't belong in the General Section at all.

It's good banter having a game thread in the general section for big matches, that's not pointless.

It's a different story with Coutinho back, or even Hendo playing in that role.

This isn't a thread centered around match discussion or banter though, and you know that as well as I do.
