Ah, thx. "Magic of the Cup" - yeah, that really has a similar vibe to our saying. I take it that the FA Cup is a one-legged issue unless there is a draw? Do you have extra time and penalties after the second match if that is a draw as well, or do you go into a third rematch? And does the away goals rule apply, too?

In Germany, our Pokal is always one-legged and decided with extra time and penalty shoot-out right away if there is a draw.

There's no away goals rule (as they're considered separate games) and draws in initial matches go to replays, and draws in those replays are now decided by ET and penalties, though it used to be the case that there would be as many replays as were needed to decide a winner.

That's how the League Cup is structured in England (apart from the semis of course).

Let's not get too presumptuous about it. This side has never been averse to losing to opponents it should be beating easily.

Guus is putting a lot of energy into the FA cup, by the looks. I doubt we'll take it lightly, and I doubt we'll put in a poor performance.

Exactly.

Plus, if we fail to get anywhere near European spots in the league, winning the FA cup will send us into the Europa League, which is better than nothing.

Well, Costa and Cesc are back in form, so if we can get Hazard back to his norm by then, we should be good.

If we beat Everton, the only team who could beat us on our day is Man Utd, So things are looking good for us, imo.

The semifinal next weekend is now crucial to keeping our league campaign on life support. Spurs are already in the ascendency and smelling blood, and a victory for them there would boost that confidence tenfold while sending our own choking players even farther into their testicle-free shells approaching the final 6 games.

Just have this feeling that it will be the game we will finally show up again. And plus, I highly doubt Spurs will be able to win ALL of their remaining games
