Messi and Ronaldo are in one category. Messi is the Ultimate Greatest of All time while Ronaldo will be remembered as someone who was 2nd best to Messi in this era.

I think many players could match that if they played 60+ games every season without putting in any shift for this Madrid side in this current La Liga climate. If you think Suarez, Rooney or RvP couldn't score 40+ goals every season as the main focal point for this Madrid team you are crazy.

This Real Madrid team? Possibly one of the most fragmented team we had in a while. Not that it isn't good, just weirdly built. Anyway, this is similar to the guys who undermined Messi's accomplishments and it reeks of childishness.

And yes I do apologise McAgger, that's all I pretty much felt like quoting. The majority of it was essentially your opinion on the matter and nothing really stood out...except that as it was so weird to say. Of course wins win championships. Sorry once again Sad

I'm not even going to talk about the defensive side of the game because Suarez completely shits on Ronaldo in this. This is an area that makes Ronaldo a huge liability to his team, whereas Suarez with his never-stop-running-never-say-die attitude and cheeky shirt pulls and bullish approach is probably the best in the world in the first line of defense. So like I said I won't go any further on this.

I'm just going to talk about when Madrid are on the ball and are attacking.

1.90% of the Madrid attacks are set up so that the ball is delivered to CR in that shooting position whether inside or outside the box. So Madrid bring the ball up, they pass it around and around, eventually after some futile attempts of making it appear as though the ball won't be going to Ronaldo, they get the ball to CR. 2.He receives the ball in a very arrogant fashion he does a pointless stepover or two (which lets the other teams defense some time to get their shape together and ), sees that he's not in a shooting position and gives the ball right back to someone else or loses it and dives.3.And, outrageously, quite often he decides that the best option is to shoot from that terrible position, which he does and completely breaks down the attack.[Now when Ronaldo is in a shooting position well without any hesitation he smacks it or heads it and usually 86% of the time he does NOT score (testament to his 14% conversion rate). 4.And another frustrating part of Ronaldo’s game comes alive here, his terrible selfishness. Many a time, his teammates are unmarked in significantly better scoring positions but Ronaldo already has his tunnel vision turned on at this point. Then you rinse and repeat this process a bunch of times throughout the match. 5.Now on the counter attack, this is where Ronaldo is menacing as he makes absolutely amazing runs and puts himself in positions to easily tap in goal after goal after goal or make assists. 6.And a very unsurprising fact I read the other day comes into play here and that is that almost all of Ronaldo’s assists come on the counter attack. This highlights his extreme lack of ability to breakdown defenses with creativity or vision.

That’s basically Ronaldo in EVERY game. When he’s on form his shots on go in at a better rate. When he’s off form his shots go in at a lesser rate. He would never be able to do what he does at Madrid at a team like Liverpool though.

So now I ask you how on earth a player who I described above can possibly be a top 2 player in the world. The only thing that’s putting him into consideration are his outrageous stats and efficiency to keep up with the undisputed best Messi. Outside of goals he hurts his team more than he helps them and that’s the sad truth. And fair play to Ronaldo that he scores so much, goals win games, but they do not win championships.

1. They pass to him because he is the only one that *bleep* team who is able to score and because he gets himself in good positions. He certainly has the best off-the-ball movement in the world.
2. Flashback to 2003-10.
3. Of course he tries to shoot, since we rarely score from a positional attack. We don't have players to pull a through pass since Ozil left, so there is 20% to get 1on1 with the goal keeper. That happened even when Ozil was here, we couldn't do anything when we had possession.
4. He might have realized after 4 years that Benzema can't score. There were many times when he put Benzema 1on1 with the goalkeeper and the supertalented French missed.Btw, he's much more of a teamplayer than he was 3 years ago.
5. If you score 70 goals a year, it's a given that some of them are going to be tap ins.
But still, I'm yet to see Suarez score tap ins like this : , at crucial moments.
.6. To pull a through ball, you need a player to make a run, well in Madrid till Bale came he was the only one who was used to doing that.

Might be true, although Messi does score more individual goals than C.ronaldo, but they wouldn't be able to influence a game outside of scoring as much as Messi.

How many games have to watched in which Suarez plays, He's always our best player even in those big games, But yeah he doesn't score or assists, So he's shit, OK.

The only reason why I do it is one: because he plays for Real Madrid, and two: because I don't think that his all-around play is good enough for him to be compared to Messi.

That's it. If no one was comparing him to Messi, I would honestly not care about him, except for the fact that he plays for Barça's rival.

He is managing 25-30 goals consistently since his second move to Ajax. He is managing 25 goals in the PL with LFC, Imagine what he'd do beside Real players. He'd easily go above 60 in that scrub league with those players around.

How in gods name is suarez even close to ronaldo? Ronaldo has been consistant for FOUR SEASONS NOW! HUNDREDS of damn games! I just want to know this; why do you people hate the damn dude so much? at this moment ibrahimovic is the only player close to ronaldo for 2nd... and suarez can't clean his boots.

So you want to argue overall play.. fair enough, suarez is one hell of a good passer for a forward, and can dribble in tight spaces well..
But what no one here tells you is that suarez has more then TWICE the turnovers then CR per game... and almost twice as much as CR being dispossessed
In addition, suarez has a better final ball, but HOW much better exactly..? ronaldo has an almost 10% advantage in passing success.. so suarez just plays the final ball much more then ronaldo. Ronaldo has shown on many occasions his passing is superb, sure suarez is better, but its not like he eats (no pun) ronaldo for breakfast..

He plays with Sterling and Coutinho, Its the players he plays with currently and not the leagues, If you have superstars beside you'll arguably perform better in any league.

No he hasn't surpassed him. Ronaldo's been scoring 40+ goals for plenty of years now at a high level. Suarez has had one or two good seasons in a top league. Also Ronaldo's won a Ballon d'or and he'll probably win it again this year deservedly. Ronaldo's scored 400 goals in his career.

How Ronaldo scores his goals or how the team is set-up to make him score doesn't matter. Messi is ahead of Ronaldo in his own tier, Ronaldo is below him in his own tier, then there's the rest of the players.

Also I doubt Rooney, Suarez etc would score as many goals as Ronaldo does at Real Madrid.

This has been always the case with GL, when someone at EPL starts scoring at a ridiculous level for a few weeks/month he suddenly become the best player in the world. it was Ramsey a few weeks ago, now it is Suarez.

Let's see if he can keep it up for two consecutive seasons before hyping him up to stratosphere level. i agree that Suarez might be the better player at the moment but he has yet to show that he can constantly perform like Messi and Ronaldo.

and I think by putting Messi as best player you made a big mistake not in choosing him but by forcing Ur opinion to other people anyways i go on and say what i think , i believe CR7 is the best player in his generation and then there's Messi , its mainly because of contribution in both national and club and other skills CR7 has , his only problem was of the field problems that seems to be gone by him getting older and etc
