Goalkeepers: Navas, Casilla.
Defenders: Vallejo, Marcelo, Theo, Achraf, Tejero.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Asensio, Llorente, Kovacic, Ceballos.
Forwards: Benzema, Bale, Lucas Vázquez, Mayoral.
That defence doe
if we dont concede more than 2 goals it's going to be an achievement

Ceballos>>>Kovacic. You wouldn't think Kova was a seasoned professional when you compare him with Ceballos. I hope we don't lose him, he is amazing. Llorente has also been great. The rest meh

i dont think there is room in Madrid for Ceballos, loan or sale with buy back.
Benzema should not play in madrid anymore, i think we all agree to that

Ceballos was nice so was Kova. Llorente also has been good this match. Bale, at least he is trying his best to be useful, tracking back, going back to basics. He just needs to find whatever confidence he once had to take on players. You know, like a regular winger.

let's take a moment to remember that this game is meaningless against one of the worst team in the league. they even make Achraf look decent.

Meaningless in every way minus the fact some of these guys literally playing for their future at the club. To show they can still compete at a La Liga level which I read isn't that bad of a league.

i think we signed most of them because they could compete at this level. We have nothing to appreciate why the likes of Ceballos or llorente were perma benched, but i would argue that some of them lost zidane trust in the much tougher first part of the season.
anyway, i dont need this game to know they have quality but they must fit in zidane's plan, so i am not sure if this type of game will redeem some in his eyes.

i said it before that if mayoral gets a few minutes here and there he'd have more than 5 goals in the league which would put him at par with or above benzema (taking into account 2 pks), adding further blow to his reason for being on this side, and for that reason, mayoral (who isn't anything special at all) gets no minutes....had benzema been scoring left and right, i'm very sure mayoral would have gotten some playing time. i am very much team zidane, but at this stage he has to admit its time he let his protege go

there you have it, Vallejo, Achraf...mediocre defending, no one marking anyone.
Vallejo is a nice boy, but his Illaramendi vibes are too hard to shake off. Achraf just doesnt understand how to play defense. he is a former winger, no wonder.
Both positions need upgrade, they have made terrible mistakes almost everytime they played.

Vallejo was marking the air while Achraf was doing something else. Yeah, definitely need proper upgrades in those 2 positions.

The second half my eyes. Terrible, absolute terrible. And to make matters worse Kroos and Asensio come on, who are not exactly known to work hard enough

I don't think Vallejo was at fault for the goal. He was already marking someone. Achraf was just ball watching. None of them were as bad as Theo though who was atrocious both offensively and defensively

We have not been talking about Theo much lately, but he too has looked properly bad with season, nothing like the power runner we saw last season. It's fair to say i was hyped about him coming to Madrid, he needs to improve.
But we have to bet on some of those kids, otherwise we are going to be sign 11 players this sumemr

I just think this season has been a disaster all around. Both the first and the second team looking poor with a few exceptions here and there. We need to start with a clean slate next season. If these guys don't start performing, then I would get on board selling them. For now I'll just ignore this season unless we win CL and start fresh next year

The only bets are going to be Theo and possibly Vallejo, who is doubtful at best. Llorente likely to be sold with Ceballos, Majoral and achraf to be lent or sold with option to buy back. All but certain.
Then there is the possibility of Vinicius being in squad next season (he shouldn’t be).
But squad players Kiko, Nacho, Lucas, Kovacic, Asensio, Isco are all back.
Take out Bale and add two forwards (maybe 3 if somehow we could shed Benz) and next year’s team almost complete.
