Wow! That has got to be the stupidest "feature" in a game I've ever seen.

I'm not sure whether MT is going to be mad or delighted when he reads this.

"Gotta make it as realistic as possible" vs "Fix those damn bugs"

I don't think Fifa purposely gets calls wrong, however I would argue that there is bias from the referees. For some reason it doesn't seem random either, e.g., when I play my buddy from Trinidad (online, or in person), the referee always gives the questionable fouls (or no calls) in my favor. It's actually the most irritating thing and tends to take a lot of fun away from the games. My boy gets frustrated because he doesn't get calls and I get annoyed because I rather the game be called fairly.

Yeah I doubt it's 'ref mistakes' tbh

If you see some ridiculous decision go one way, you automatically assume it's a bad decision.

However, if you can recreate that moment, chances are the ref will make the same call.


I.E you slide down, your player is slow to get up and another player runs into your foot and trips over it. The game thinks it's a foul and you get the full slide tackle foul treatment.


Sometimes though I swear momentum is a factor.

It is. Bad programming and momentum combined.

There is no referee making mistakes feature imo. The poor pen decisions, offsides etc are all glitches.

Looks like they might finally be improving the tactical interface.

Hopefully we can use custom kits on clubs

The whole game mode feels like scraps of other game modes put together. Using kits from actual clubs, generic random AI players that get replaced every game, all wearing black boots


Honestly clubs would be twice as good if they changed the presentation without even touching the gameplay.


Custom kits & badges. Any manager can make, and then select these kits & badges.

AI players. Imo you should have FULL control over their attire, hair, facial hair and facial features. Height and weight can either be chosen for you I.E all AI CBs 6'2-4 all full backs 5'7-5'10 to stop people abusing height.

Also, NAMES. Let us NAME our AI players. Give us a bunch AI players that stay with our club forever and obviously depending on the non human positions they can slot in.


Let us earn money for competing on pro clubs, and use that money to upgrade the AI players (To a certain extent, so the best your AI players can be is in the low 80's range)

Cup windows. I'd much prefer the World Cup mode format, makes it feel like a proper tournament.

I.E you play 3 random clubs in a group stage. Whichever of those 2 clubs have the most points go through etc etc.


Stadiums, again use the virtual cash you earn to upgrade your stadiums, fan base etc etc.

completely agree with all of that. But it sounds too good for EA to do it lol.

The generic names are terrible. Every team has same similar named players. The Fullbacks are 6'4 200lb who gets outpaced by the goalkeepers.

If we had control over all of that (under restriction ofcourse) then that would be great.

The virtual money idea is really good.

Also a free roam arena for clubs imo.

The whole 'road to division 1' crap means nothing, only difference is you play slightly better clubs, nothing else changes.

Career mode (obviously) has an aim.

Ultimate team has plenty of aims. Custom tournaments, earning the best players etc etc

Clubs is the equivalent of WWE exhibition mode

they have custom uniforms in NHL version of pro clubs...has been a feature since the beginning, if only the NHL developers could somehow talk to the fifa developers at the water cooler ffs

Have you guys ever heard the term 'Planned Obsolescence'? This is exactly what companies like EA and Apple (among other major companies) use in their products/services. Intentionally limiting/disregarding some of the products features so they can incorporate in future versions of their products. I suspect that much of the features some of the posters mentioned won't see the light in this year's release OR next year's (or even the year after) it's a profitable business practice and as long as the $$$ comes you won't be seeing major strides in FIFA games for a while

Nah I get that completely but Pro Clubs is literally a forgotten game mode. It's not like they gradually change it and hold back updates. It hasn't changed since 2010

EA only do what's best for business unfortunately imo. It's all about UT and they delay features so they can roll them out over a number of years.
