Re: Five Times European Champions vs. Borini's Team
Not happy with our 2nd half performance at all. For all our hunger to rack up the goals, once again our defence was caught ball-watching for Ki's goal and for an open miss to which Antiscore could have just as well scored on. If this ball-watching and poor marking continues, we might as well set sail to our title chances goodbye.
Same problems from Cardiff to which our defence is carried away from the cushion that is provided by our goals. We cannot afford such complacency in defence.
Very happy with our midfield as Henderson and Allen had a solid game despite not being efficient in tracking back for the defensive end. Yet given our narrow 4-3-1-2 adaptation, we always were going to face trouble with Borini's team wide attack, especially with the inclusion of Adam Johnson.
Very happy with Coutinho's performance who was absolutely brimming with confidence and Sturridge in all his cocksure swagger, his El Shaarawy-esque goal a testament to his season.
Steven Gerrard's FK my moment of the match. Just looks like he will at least hit the target compared to Suarez' hit and miss set-pieces.

A full back is needed in the summer window.
Glen and Flano both are average. Flano getting caught out again as usual. Was pretty annoyed that Suarez didnt tee up Sturridge more and went for those shots. Its probably the records getting to him.
Anyways we were pretty poor but still managed 3 points, This game is a sign why we could comfortably still bottle it.
Another win, Skrtel is a beast.
Spurs next.
oh btw Gerrard didnt get a yellow
He aint gonna last in away matches ffs.

Re: Five Times European Champions vs. Borini's Team
Coutinho MOTM. This is what we need from him, creativity, dribbles, close control and passes. Was great at all of them tonight.
Johnson was dreadful, so many misplaced passes and losses of possession.
Flanagan wasn't really better. Sunderland were sitting deep for most of the game and that's when full-backs need to gallop forward and be involved in attacks time and again, but Flanno was pretty invisible tonight. Went ball-watching when his man scored.
Suarez tried ever so hard, a decent game from him.
Sturridge good, scored (via a deflection). There was talk about his decision-making some time ago; in this game I thought his decision-making could have been better. At times dwelled on the ball too much and mayhaps tried a bit too often look for his own shot.
Henderson was good as well, constantly showed up in attack and defense.
Allen, perhaps unsurprisingly, was more invisible, but did his part OK.
Skrtel and Agger did their jobs, Mignolet, too, although his kicking was awful tonight.

Re: Five Times European Champions vs. Borini's Team
My Gleninho was poor :(but then again, so was 1/2 half the team so meh. 3 points.
No point dude.
We've had so many "problems" this season, yet have grinded out wins consistently. We have far too much firepower. We're slowly getting all that "luck" United had under Fergie.
The only way these problems get exploited, are in Europe or against the bigger sides, they won't get exploited in the league. The PL has regressed. Like I said, everyones saying it's entertaining because "3-4 teams are title challegenging" but there's literally 5 teams that can still potentially be relegated, and all the midtable sides are like 10 points behind from that relegation drop too. lol
