Its do with breaches of transfer and registration rules of players under 18.
Excuse me.Dint read the article ,automatically assumed it.My apologies.
In that case ,i agree with you. We'll probably see their ban getting rescinded just like Chelsea's.

Considering it is April 2nd and has been posted in FIFA.com, I would say it is legit. Whether Barca will actually get the full punishment in the end is another story though.

Since both sources say the 2nd of April, I think it is.
Also, goes without saying but no trolling in this thread. All troll posts will be removed.

Re: Barcelona given 2 transfer periods transfer ban by FIFA
Good summary of the Chelsea case
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1248554/Chelsea-transfer-ban-lifted-Lens-accept-1m-Gael-Kakuta-row.html
In short:
>At 15 Kakuta singed a pre-contract with Lens
>Before he signed a professional contract with Lens he signed for Chelsea
>Lens complained to FIFA that Chelsea offered Kakutas family big money for him to move to Chelsea and thus break his pre-contract (more than likely true) and demanded 4.25mil compensation
>Chelsea given two window ban and ordered to pay Lens 115k compensation
>Pre contract wasnt legally binding and thus Chelsea went to appeal to the CAS
>One week before the case, compensation of 1mil was agreed on and Lens dropped the case and thus the transfer ban was lifted
Interesting side note; at this time Lens were in desperate need of 10mil and had lodged complaints with FIFA that Porstsmouth owed them money for two players

Mes Que un Club
Indeed, Mes que un club! A club where the fans can make a president resign when he has done morally wrong things, unlike at Chelsea, who btw did the same thing

I could see Valdes re-signing a contract with this in mind.

So the whole thong with chelsea was they weren't found not guilty they just coughed out money to push it under the rug.
If barca did it with 10 players, wouldnt this just make it much much harder for them to sweep it under the rug?

Of course, he will now be entitled to write a blank cheque for himself because Barca can't sign anymore players and his contract is expiring. 10m wages a yearKick wrote:I could see Valdes re-signing a contract with this in mind.

In short; yes.
Although given that the crux of Lens' argument was that Chelsea coaxed Kakuta into breaking a legally binding agreement (his pre contract) which turned out to have no legal weight or binding capacity, it really didnt look like Lens had a leg to stand on. That of course doesnt excuse Chelaea of ethical misconduct, but thats not the issue at hand here

Mole ,i think its 2 transfer periods as opposed to 2 years(which would make it 4 transfer periods then).
At worst it'll get reduced to one transfer period on appeal imo.

GuillemBalague
@GuillemBalague
About FCB. Sanction is for two consecutive transfer windows (Jan and summer 2015). Club plans 2 appeal. Chelsea did so in 2010 and similar sanction was lifted
Summer 2015 ?

Re: Barcelona given 2 transfer periods transfer ban by FIFA
Why would it be overturned?
Chelsea were cleared of any wrong doing.. Lens made a big deal of a non binding contract and Chelsea paid them off to get them out of the way. Happens all the time in transfer fees..you think Ronaldo would've cost 80m if they didn't piss off United?
This case is different. Barca have broke the rules in black and white and unless they can prove it's a team full of misunderstandings.. They will be punished.
All they can do is appeal and try to sign somebody before it's handed down.. I doubt it tho.
Which top player will join now?
If you were a top player you'd jwait till the ban is served.. How can anyone have a long term vision for the club if the next player they can sign is the season after next?

You are right, it was me who wrote two years. Apologies.
So they are banned from summer 2014 and winter 2015 transfer windows. That's one full season of no new players. I am pretty sure they can sell players right?
