I think the finale was fantastic. Better than GOT finale IMO.

Was expecting much more from the finale (probably due to the high standards set by the show in the first place), but a satisfying season of television nevertheless.

I knew that season 2 would focus on the Sioux Falls incident since it was referenced so many times in the show. Hope we see cameos from some of the movie characters. And Malvo of course Proud

Gus Grimly's chief and Lou keeps on mentioning Sioux Falls thorughout the season. When Grimly's chief hears about Grimly letting Malvo go he says "It's goddamn Sioux Falls all over again" Later when Grimly meets Lou, Lou mentions he worked with Grimly's chief on the Sioux Falls case where he got shot. He later also recalls Sioux Falls being a nightmare and having piles and piles of bodies, enough to build a staircase.

Average ending imo. Anyone would have predicted both Lorne and Lester dying.

Needed a swerve, with Molly's dad being a bad guy or something.

Anyway the show wasn't really about a story. It was the random things happening that made it interesting.

“It covers something that was referenced in the first installment by Lou Solverson, Molly Solverson’s [Allison Tolman] father,” Langraf said. “It’s a big sprawling, in some ways, more comedic [season], though at times, a very serious show. It’s set in the late ’70s against the backdrop of Ronald Reagan’s first campaign for President of the United States. Reagan is a character in it.”

In that vein, Langrad noted that feminism will play a big role in the second season. “A lot of what it’s about is the cultural transformation that was going on at the time,” Landgraf said. “It’s about the sense that the war has come home. It’s also about feminism, so there are some really significant female characters. It’s a big, sprawling, incredibly ambitious [series]. Noah [Hawley] just channeled the Coen brothers and tells stories in a way that’s so fresh and so surprising.”

Holy shit can't wait for this. Fargo season 1 was as good if not better than True Detective season 1. Insanely good, I watched a lot of shows and it's on my top 5. Will definitely miss Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton, hope the storyline makes up for it.
