It's fairly obvious no? Don't have to be any sort of football genius to realise that the squad is in need of serious player rejuvenation. Reading some (many) of the stuff on Barcaforum and I honestly think some (many) of the posters believe there is an on switch on footballers.

With that being said, getting rid of Lucho now who has shown he isn't at this level would probably be for the best. As a Madrid fan, I do hope they let him continue his fine work...

Btw, guardiola is too smart to come back at this point. At least not while the old group still exists. the likelihood of guardiola coaching stoke city is more achievable at this point

It's a bigger chance for Pep to coach Barca B at this point tbh.

After Pep left all barca coaches were average coaches. How do you know a top coach would not make team better? R.Madrid always appoints best coaches and it works even if they dont have best players at every position

Real Madrid pretty much have the best players at every position though.

Also interesting: Messi skipped training 3 times before, all of them after being benched.

I have to say that if LE really benched Messi without letting him know before he really is an idiot. Hasn't he been following Barca for the past 7 years? Didn't Guardiola say his most important task at Barca was to keep Messi happy? When Martino benched him he had to explain to him why this was best for the team and let him in to the decision before.

I'm not saying Messi shouldn't be benched, of course he should if the coach thinks that, but everyone knows how much he hates it so the coach might as well try to soften the blow before it.
