i cannot understand this romero move as well. whytf ?? why are we going on adding players to our already crowded areas. having said that i am uber delighted regarding falcao deal though. but romero ?? when we have a very compatible backup in linndegaard? wait a min lindegaard is still with us am i right?? so yaa.. we need a right back and a cb ffs. sign even some lower tier options as stop gap. unless lvg is planning to bring in one of the youth players as back up to rafael then its fine. this valencia crap in that role simply cant continue.

He's a proper cnut mate that's why. he purposefully and arrogantly demanded higher wages as he didn't fancy going to them clubs.

Not only a coward, but no ambition too.

The club desperately want him gone, LVG has told him to go, but he'd rather rot in the bench. Throw him to the reserves.

One thing, Woodward kept his promise. He started the summer well by sacking Moyes. Those paper reports of a £100-200mil of spending, he did it. He said watched this space, then delivered. While keeping everything quiet, apart from the Shaw deal, every other deal was done in less then a week after the media finding out. Falcao took a day (if it goes through, which it should).

BUT, we were very slow most deals done after season has started. In terms of value, buying and selling we got ripped off. Something to work on. Saying that I'd rather get the player and get ripped off, than complain about no value in the market at the end of the summer. I also generally don't really care about what we pay, not my money.

I think the fact LVg was at the WC till July then had to have time to assess the squad first hand hindered us from getting rid of the dross, rather than panic loan or get ripped off for some of them.

In terms of players that came in, Woody has done a great job. Di Maria and Falcao- both star signings that will immensily improve our squad. We brought in some good players in Blind, Herrera, Rojo and Shaw.

The only downside is the fact we didn't get rid of Valencia, Cleverely, Young and the fact we didn't get a RB, CB and perhaps another MF. But that's just me being a tad too greedy.

We've had a fantastic summer of signings, and have made much progress. The January window should give us ample opportunity to address the things we couldn't this summer.

Yeah, would have been nice if they went. On the bright side, Cleverley and Anderson have one year left, so good chance they leave in January. Young will only have a year left after this season, I think we'll sell since he'll be 30, we only keep quality/loyal players over 30. Valencia is the only question mark, hopefully LvG hates his guts by the end of the season.

I don't think tom Lawrence was good enough long-term, but good luck to him. Nice loan move for Powell at a PL club, his game vs MK Dons was his first in 6 months, so was understandably sloppy.
