-Falcao is one of the very best ST's in the world today.
-He's better than Sturridge.
-We need a ST.
-He's hardworking.
-Has played in a two ST system.
-Magnificent finisher.

With the attacking style and the amount of chances we create should really let Falcao blossom here.

All Eto'o would do is be a back up Studge while Falcao comes in and improves our starting XI.

We've improved our defense from last. We've added massive depth. We've added more creative outlets even if we've lost Suarez.

The biggest glaring weakness was the ST position. And now we're getting one of the best in the world.

1 year loan where he arguably makes us favorites for the title is enough for me to bite.

We're as likely not, actually. Why start speaking in definites when it's clearly far from being likely, much less certain?

I'm not even going to address the even more outlandish parts of that.

Falcao scares me because he's coming off a knee injury and a stint in which he struggled in Ligue 1.

That said it's a loan. As long as the buy option of 50m is not automatic I am all for it. If Falcao is healthy and playing like he did previous to his Monaco life he's about as good as Suarez was, maybe better for our particular needs.

Bloody 12 million pounds for a loan deal, FML.

What clauses would be included is what i want to know. Will we have first option to buy after that, will it be a set price.

I don't see the value in a 12 mil loan with a 50mil option to buy, 62 million pounds will be spent on him. His 28 now and will be 29 if we decide to buy him after the loan.

Is there a reason Monaco would be willing to sell or loan Falcao? I can understand that for the right price, AC Milan will sell even their star striker, but Monaco are in the CL, are super rich and have started this season poorly, I'd imagine they'd want to keep their star player, no? Or does Falcao want out?

Tbh between Balotelli and Falcao, I can much easier see Balotelli coming to Liverpool than Falcao, but we'll see what happens.

tbh, as far as I have seen Balotelli, I am not so sure if he really a fit to our system. May be BR has some plan to fit him in our system. I think our Anfield love will make sure that he keeps his head right throughout the his Anfield career.

I will happily welcome Balotelli for £16m, I would have thought we'd have to pay £26m for him.

Anyway, Balotelli with the right attitude is a good striker to have, so I'll stay cautiously optimistic about his impact.

Balotelli is my love child.

Ibra > Suarez > Balotelli in terms of my favourite forwards. Make it happen. :coffee:

Borini for when he signed for us:

"The fans played a big part (in me joining Liverpool)," Borini told FourFourTwo magazine. "When I was with Italy at Euro 2012, I was talking to Balotelli about England, and he told me that Liverpool had the most exciting fans to play in front of.

"He described it as a beautiful experience.

Ummmmm...pretty sure I pointed out we were in on Balotelli and said I'd prefer him over Falcao! I've loved him since his Inter days (FM legend). I just hope that Rodgers can harness all that talent and attitude for good.

In my opinion, our important transfer deals of the summer are concluded with the Balotelli signing, but if it's possible to offload unwanted, under-performing players like Lucas and Agger, I'm all for it.

If everything works out the way we want it. This window will be the best in our clubs history ffs.

Some fantastic work done by Ayre and the committee. Mightily impressed even though I was throwing a hissy fit at the beginning of the window Laughing
