I already replied to this in the other thread, Germany.We really didn't hold any grudges towards the Germans because of that result.You lot will probably play an away game for the first time.

Well, I remember the last two 3rd place matches which involved Germany (2006, 2010) were fun matches as they didn't really have much pressure and just wanted to leave the World Cup on a somewhat positive note nonetheless, so I hope Brazil - Netherland will be a nice show-match, too, just to show the public that they can play nicely after all.

Yep, the two last 3rd place matches, the blemish that we were in them aside, were great matches. Of course the result is kind of besides the point, but they featured some of the best football in the tournament in both 2006 and 2010.


That being said, van Gaal already said he thinks the 3rd place playoff is pointless, so Brazil will probably win it.

Scolari will show he learned nothing from the beating Germany visited upon Brazil.

He's right not to leave his post with this game still left to play, but he won't change much. That's for sure.

That said, hopefully Brazil salvage some of their pride. I'll be firmly in their corner.

Brazil will win this. Silva will be back, they will have no pressure. They already hit rock bottom, can only go up from here.

Netherlands on the other hand were riding their confidence all tournament. That is gone now that they lost to Argentina. I expect this to be a high scoring match going to Brazil.

Wtf not much talkl about this game, goes to show not that much interest in this game as usual?

The style of both teams and the nature of this game usually means some goals and open game though....
