How else do you think Atleti score(d) their goals??

Laliga teams are poor at set pieces but that didn't stop us from only scoring a handful through the whole of last season and barca only one so far this season from over 300 corners(dont know if that count is for this season only or from when they last scored from a set piece)

I think you need a set piece specialist for that but also great headers of the ball

Thats just one of the many things Kroos does for us. Thank you for the amazing gift Thumbs up

This guy is insanely good in a more advanced role. It's like he has 360 vision. Hopefully we will never play him again at DM.

Best not to base your opinion on the season where most of the team haven't performed.

Watch him under Carlo

He hasn't been total garbage, just lacks athleticism which teams expose at times. Very slow getting back too.

We don't need a metronome. That's the problem. We need someone to drive the ball from the midfield and link up with CR-bale. Since Benz is playing much more forward as a 9 we need a b2b for that position

Which is why I think Pogba would have been great. Atm BBC push forward and stay there, Kroos is a great controller and probably the my intelligent mf in Europe atm. The guy never makes the wrong decision but his lack of ball carrying ability hinders him. Modric carries the ball from mf into attack from the right hand side so Carvajal can defend.

Atm, Marcelo is essentially playing a winger and fb and has to be the ball carrier which is why he gets exposed a lot of the times. Kroos can't do it and CR has lost the ability to do it now that he has aged. Pogba Modric could work in games where Madrid are facing compact teams.

Benz has been playing more or less the same as always, the argument that we need such when Benz drops deep holds very little water with me.

Toni Kroos when on form is the excellence of execution. For me he is untouchable.

Anyone else think Kroos Kova could start provided we actually have wingers who track back?

In other words, Ronaldo as the CF with morata and Lucas/bale as the wingers. Benzema can hit the bench until he finds fitness or he can leave. Don't care at this point

Ronaldo is playing very good for Portugal as CF. It might make sense to have a striker who scores goals but in that case we would need a WC winger.

Except they play with another #9. He is awful as a lone striker the same way Muller is. His movement for the team is subpar and he showed this time and time again.

I'd like to see Bale on the left and asensio on the right for once. Z only played him on the left whereas he's clearly better suited for the right wing.

Don't bother explaining in details to these guys, cr has been ready to transition to cf 5 or 6 years now, as they try to cover up his decline as a winger sad bunch.

Yeah, and benzema has movement? Cristiano makes runs and drifts wide whenever possible to help the team , benzema is a statue ffs..

Did you even watch tonight's game Fennec? Benz looked extremely good. Finally seems healthy and fit.

I thought Benz looked the better of the front 3 definitely today but still the front 3 were not on the same level as the midfielders imo. Hopefully they are getting there now that they keep getting match practice. By the time we play Atleti the 3 of them should have no excuses

Dam, most footballers have terrible tattoos, I think Kroos' for example are awful. Literally seems to have Nala from the Lion King tattooed on him, and that picture of his kid looks like a unflattering dead baby zombie
